We have been going to this hotel for 4 years, our daughter goes to Saint Rose. The staff is excellent, friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and location was perfect for us. Recenlty my daughter graduated from college and I reserved 6 rooms for my family, so they could attend graduation. I knew the the Best Western was perfect for our needs and a price you can afford.
This hotel is an excellent value and I'm sure you will enjoy your stay there, like we did, all 16 of us.

I've been staying at this hotel for four years now when visiting my college daughters. University At Albany is right across the street, (Western Avenue side), and very convenient. You can walk to the University's sporting events without the hassle of trying to find parking. Throughout the four years, I have experienced this hotel's bad issues and watched them overcome these issues, to become a very nice hotel. The hotel has just grown to make your stay more pleasant, from the room updates and comfort, pleasant staff, along with the added additions to the complementary breakfast. The rooms have always been clean and well stocked with clean towels, coffee, etc. All the rooms have microwaves & refrigerators. The convenience of having a bar/restaurant right on site has always been a plus when the weather had been bad outside. Within walking distance, are more bar/restaurants, which have great food and respectable crowds. I would definitely recommend this hotel if visiting the University. I would stay away from the hotels on the other side of the University (on Washington Ave), for they're twice as expensive and there is nothing around them to walk to, such as restaurants, etc.

My family recently stayed here on our way thru from East Coast to Ohio. Rooms (one dble & one king) were very clean, beds were comfortable and bathroom well stocked with linens and toiletries. The staff were very helpful, check in and out was a breeze. It was very quiet, and provided a great way stop. We all enjoyed the breakfast in the restaurant area...very complete, with hot and cold foods and a great selection. Being able to have breakfast there makes a huge difference to getting underway the next day. Hotel is well located...some distance off the highway but not so far as to get lost easily. Other bars and restaurants all within small distance. would definitely stay again.

The reviews had been rather mixed, so we were pleasantly surprised by the Best Western. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in (though I really this dislike this new fashion of a multitude of little pillows,as a restless sleeper like me rolls off a small pillow). It was very quiet despite being on a main road. The room, though small, was perfectly adequate, and there was plenty of drawer space. The bathroom was bright, with plentiful hot water, and great shower pressure. We didn't use the pool but it was larger than those in similar hotels, and in an atrium, giving the illusion of being out of doors. The breakfast was acceptable, served in in a cheery dining area with plenty of seating (though the main restaurant had a strange smell.) The chocolate chunk cookies we received on checking in were delicious (though the receptionist we had didn't offer them to anyone - I spotted the other receptionist giving them to people so asked - and she also forgot to give us our discount.) At under $100 a night including tax the Best Western was well worth it, and we'll definitely return on our next visit to Albany.
