Hotel is very convenient to the Albany airport. I stayed in this hotel about 8 years ago and it was new and clean. I was disappointed by it in my recent visit as it is well used and worn. Rooms are clean but need updating.

Stayed here for a few days in October in a double queen room. The hotel looks new, fresh, and trendy. The beds and rooms were extremely comfortable. The bar/restaurant was nice and dinner was very good. Hotel is very convenient to the airport (practically accross the street) with an airport shuttle. Even though it's so close to the airport, we did not hear any airplane noise any of the time we were there. Outside they had a smoking area with an overhead heater (very nice touch when it's cold out). The hotel is a little pricey, we would not have booked it if the Hampton Inn down the street wasn't sold out.

When you first think of a Hilton Garden Inn, you might first come up with a glorified motel. Okay at least I did. But, we were really surprised at the decor and services faound at this location in Albany. The lobby was tasteful and warm (even had a small fireplace) and rather trendy looking. There was a restaurant and bar next to it that offers a buffet breakfast that includes cooked to order eggs and omelletes.
The rooms were HUGE. We had a king bed and my father in law who was traveling had a room with two beds and still had space. The rooms were equipped microwave, coffee, and fridge. 32" LCD screens also. Good water pressure, and nice sized bathrooms.
Didn't get to try the pool and the jacuzzi, too bad. But that would be guilding the lilly for an airport property wouldn't it?
In the final analysis, if this is representative of the chain as a whole, I'll never turn my nose up at them again.

I chose this place because my first choice was completely booked. I wasn't expecting much but to my delightful surprise, I was very satisfied ! The rooms were very spacious and clean, it was near to the airport and the restaurant served good food . My family and I were able to rest peacefully and now I knew where to book if my first choice was fully booked again.
