“Great hotel! Best location of the island!”

Me and my girlfriend stayed at L'archipel and were completely charmed by this place!

The service is excellent, the suites are very spacious with very good amenities, the view is amazing!

If we have to choose a place for our wedding would definitely be in this hotel!

We stayed in a 5 star hotel on Mahe and it doesnt even come close to L'archipel in terms of service and quality of product!

Thanks to the owner and the entire staff for greeting us in person and looking after us during our stay :)

Room Tip: If you have to book a room i would suggest you book the Executive suite, it has an amazing view!

“THE BEST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

WOW!! What a hotel!
We stayed in this beautiful hotel for our honeymoon in 2008 and lets just say 'Brides and Beaches' did very well indeed.
We married in Mauritius and stayed here for our honeymoon (we didn't choose the hotels, Brides & Beaches sorted it all out for us).
We stayed in a suite called DENIS, the rooms were named after islands in the seychelles,
The suite was more like a house, 2 bathrooms, lounge areas, bedrooms, 2 air-con units and a balcony area the size of a small garden with luxury garden furniture, 150m2 was the size of the suite. We only used half the 'house' while we were there.
We had a maid attend our 'house' every evening to dress our bed and close the mosquito nets around our bed, this was also the time when the beach towels were changed daily.
The hotel restaurant was amazing, a top chef cooking the best food ever, it was like being in a posh london restaurant! Breakfast was also good, cooked to order. Lunchtimes we had a sandwich brought out to us on the beach, one of these was enough to share as they were like a club sandwich.
Weather was beautiful here but very very humid and hot, you cannot sit in the sun for long, you do have to take shade and there were plenty of trees around on this private beach for you to do this. You still go home with an amazing tan even if you do sit in the shade!
The sea was like walking into a hot bath and there were fish swimming around your legs.
When we were there, no-one really used the swimming pool, this is mainly due to the weather being so hot, you need the sea breeze and also we noticed a few bugs around the pool area that would bite you, my husband was also bitten to bits in the restaurant one evening, so please make sure you wear lots of insect repellant.
Before we stayed here we checked tripadvisor and read about a shop for water, drinks and snacks and we went there daily, it is a 10-15min walk along the beach.
When it rains here, it poors! but its very warm and lasts just a few minutes.
The local currency is only used by the locals, tourists have to use Euros.
This is the perfect place to relax and do nothing, there is not a lot else to do here, for a honeymoon location, this was perfect for us!

“Great setting - good hotel”

Spent 5 nights here and would recommend the hotel if you like quiet surroundings. The layout of the villas is sympathic with the surroundings. Stunning views over to Curieuse Island. We had a senior suite, which was very large and spotless, all the usual extras including mosquito deterrent. Food was good - we were half board which was useful as not other eating place within walking distance. Beach kept clean and only open to hotel guests. Staff very friendly and very helpful, organised a day trip to Curieuse Island which was is a must. Also had a hire care for two days.
Some of the reviews say the service can be slow - which is true but you're on holiday what's the rush!

“Small but beautiful hotel in the nicest part of Praslin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

We were there for 6 days during our honeymoon and we had a great experience. The structure is not super new but it is pefectly kept and maintained. Rooms are large, very comfortable and spotless. Very nice private beach and equally nice infinity pool (not huge but big enough). Food is very good, even if perhaps a little bit pricey. Lovely to have meals on the beach, few mts from the sea. Personnel is a plus: kind, always in a good mood, helpful. Note that it is quite a long walk to the small village of cote d'or as the hotel is slightly outside.

“Great hotel and great setting”

We had a very nice time with our 2 children is this hotel. We stayed for a week and had the swimming pool almost for ourselves. The staff is superfriendly and the view from our house was amazing. We could sit there for hours. The houses are set up in a spacious garden full with flowers and you don't even notice that there are guests staying here. Everything is so quiet. Serving staff could be a bit more attentive, f.e. if you ask for butter it will get to your table 15 minutes later but you forget about it because everybody is so friendly. The children could order anything they liked and if they could it was cooked for them. Amazing! We wanted to do watersports but unfortunately, almost everything was broken except the canoes and we had the impression that it had been broken for quite a while.
