The Britannia has a number of bungalows on one side of the street, and the main building and rooms set around a pool on the other.

I stayed in a bungalow which was very clean, modern and with excellent air conditioning. The guest house itself is quite hard to find as it's quite far up a residential street. It was very quiet and relaxing sitting on the porch of the bungalow at night.

I found the restaurant to be a bit over priced for the quality of food, but it was ok to eat in once or twice. The bar and restaurant closed at 10pm. There's no real night life close to the guest house. There are a number beaches within walking distance of the guest house.

The only real bad point is the fact that the water was turned off at 10am each morning and not turned on again until 5pm.

Nice hotel, with new rooms being built.

We had new room which was very nice with corner bath and excellent air con. However the building work for the other rooms is still going on and has quite a bit to go by the looks of it.

Staff were excellent.

This hotel is simple, and run by a friendly Seychellois family who are freshly arrived from London. They are lovely, and do anything they can to give you a nice stay. The rooms round the pool where I stayed are spacious and well equipped. Clean too, with tea making facilities.
The family would do things like bring you a fresh coconut in the evening as a surprise. This is one of the cheapest hotels in the SEychelles, and one of the best!
It is not near a beach, but any bus costs just 3 rupees (next to nothing)

This is a small hotel with 12 rooms, but we found it very pleasant. Not too expensive either. Stayed there for 4 nights in August 2005. Beautifully situated. Pool very nice. Half rooms have air-con and overlook pool. Others are gathered very nicely around a garden with a table or two in. Actually 2 of these two are air-conned too.
Useful shop next door; 5 minute walk to Grand Anse - a small town near a (not very pleasant) beach.
The Britannia's restaurant is recommended in various guidebooks and we found it very acceptable indeed, especially the a la carte menu.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Overall, I would recommend this place.
