My (now) husband and I did a lot of research to find the right hotel in Seychelles for our very intimate wedding. We wanted a beautiful setting, and stress-free planning for our special event. We read reviews, contacted hotels with lots of questions, then made a decision. We decided on Chateau de Feuilles, and we could not have made a better decision.

After my initial emails, Alexandra gave me great information and suggestions about our ceremony. The final decisions would be made once we arrived, but we were able to tie down all of the details with the location and our photographer in advance. The photographer, Laurent Levy, was incredible. Our photos are amazing! They are natural and really capture how much we really enjoyed our wedding day!

When we arrived, we met Andrine. She is Wonder Woman, and made everything a reality! Everyone was fantastic to work with, and Andrine patiently listened and answered my 100+ questions!

And when our big day arrived, everything exceeded our expectations - everything. It really was our dream wedding, and we have the photos to prove it!

The hotel is spectacular. And I you would have to see the views for yourself. There are only 9 rooms on the property and our rooms was just perfect. There was a parlor (sitting room with a table and a Mac!), a very large bathroom and the bedroom (plus the front and back terraces). The view from our bedroom (both sides) was the sea. It was quiet, the service was exceptional and not at all intrusive. And what can I say about the restaurant? The food was incredible. Incredible.

In addition, you get a free car to drive around in during your stay. We did take advantage of this, and spent some time exploring Praslin. We enjoyed our time on the beaches, and in the small shops.

If you are considering a holiday, a romantic trip or (especially!!) a wedding, I recommend this hotel. Everyone works really hard to make sure you are enjoying your holiday, and that is exactly what we did.

I couldn't recommend a nicer hotel, nor one with nicer people and better service!

A very nice hotel (wondeful location, beautiful views, comfortable rooms, etc..). Unfortunately, service is a bit amateurish and not up to an international 5-star standard. Clients are mostly French and may be used to it ... but this is not really acceptable given the price you have to pay (700€/night).
A few examples: no in-room breakfast before 8:15/8:30, reception desk's mistakes, noisy lawnmower in the garden at 8:00am, spider and lizard in the room, bar waiter invisible most of the afternoon, set menu for diner with no options -one appetizer, one entree, one dessert-, very limited wine list, etc.. .
The hotel team and management look tired and not really interested except in finishing their work early. There is a need for a serious upgrade. Until this happens, I will not come back and would not recommend this hotel to a friend.

We had a wonderful honeymoon start at the Chatau de Feuilles.
If you have the chance to book this hotel - do it!

The trip to the private Island (Grand Seour) was our highlight during our complete stay on the Seychelles.

This is a absolutely beautiful and luxury resort. It belongs to the French luxury chain "relais & Châteaux".

My husband and I have spent 3 nights there. We had a wonderful, elegant sea-view Villa. The resort is on the mountain, no beach, but it has really breathtaking view of ocean, mountain and the surrounding islands.

The jacuzzi on the mountain is a highlight of this resort. The restaurant, located at the swimming pool, is nice decorated place for breakfast and dinning. The breakfast is good, though not many choices, and everyday almost the same. For omelette or scrambled eggs you have to pay extra, and very expensive.

The hotel offered a car which included in the price, so we could drive around in Praslin, not necessarily having dinner every evening in the resort. It's bloody expensive to have dinner in the hotel, O.K. the food was quite delicious and the atmosphere was superb. But it's always good to have some adventures outside and experience the local restaurants.

The room rate is quite high (around 500,-€ per night), maybe because the Seychelles are defined as high-end destinations. .

Anyway, what Seychelles can offer, is not unique, so they really don't need to pretend they are exclusive in the world, so are their prices. Particularly I don't feel comfortable that tourists have always to pay double or three times more than the locals, e.g. boat ticket, entrance fee etc.

But if you MUST go to Seychelles, the resort is good choice in Praslin.
