I and my wife stayed at the Chalets Anse Forbans while we were on our honeymoon n d stay was very peaceful and pleasant.. the Chalets are clean and well done up.. surprisingly d floor was wet in the evening as well, although the house keeping does the cleaning in the morning itself.. so no big deal really.. the chalets are fairly spacious, decent room space and very gud for 2 ppl.. the Standard chalets is where we stayed. Its a safe place but everyone seems to keep stressing on locking the chalets once its dark, making u feel that its not very safe as such. The chalets r right on the beach.. the water is very close by and a hop-skip n jump away frm the chalets.. very quiet and pvt. The location of the place is a little far - not smack in the middle of town OR not very close to all the action, but what is needed is a car and when one has it, its ok np to drive up to Airport->Victoria n up north towards Beau Vallon. The owners are very nice and they explain all the rules well.. only concern being that maybe there are many rules which u know of in general.. like if u lose a beach towel they will charge and things like that.. but it is generally explained in detail..There is an Ants issue.. so jst ensure that the food is all kept inside the fridge at all times.. they give u a loaf of bread, butter, milk, jam etc. complimentary and is decent for a couple of days' breakfast.. for anythin else, one can go down to a supermkt nearby and pick up the remaining stuff, if needed.. There is no fone in the rooms and so u cant expect any room service unless you walk in to the main office.. but overall for d price, will surely recommend dis place.. so.. go for it :)

I've spent with my family 14 days last summer in Seychelles Islands lodging at Chalets d'Anse Forbans.
It's been the second time at the Chalets, but this time with my son of 5 years old.
About me, is the best solution, because it seems to stay at your own home, you can feel to what you want, you can cook the meals by yourself if you desire (because the chalets are fully furnished), overall if you have childrens that are not still friendly with the creoles tastes, or you can go at the restaurant suggested by the staff of chalets or discovered by you.
the environment is very safe, quite, located in beautiful tropical garden where leave also 7 big turtles.
Every day the chalet was cleand, the towels and linnen were replaced regularly.
The only problem that I've found during my stay it was the low flow of the shower, this doen't mean there wasn't water.
I suggest at the management to foreseen to keep the rooms all the day for the guests that have the departure flight evening later.

We stayed here for our honeymoon towards the end of August, and we had a wonderful time.
The chalets are spacious, and the starter pack waiting for you in your fridge is great, especially after a very long flight. They provide you with all the basic food items you need to get you started.
The chalets are cleaned from top to bottom every day, and if you happen to forget to do the washing up then the cleaners will do it for you.
It's quite easy to do food shopping on Mahe, as there's a shop pretty much every kilometre! But you get more variety in the bigger supermarkets - the best ones we found were the one in Quatre Bornes, just up the hill from the chalets (we walked it twice, but probably better to drive if you struggle to cope with too much heat!), one near Anse Royale, called Kumar&Kumar, and then the Citymart in Victoria (as you drive into Vistoria from the chalets it's on the right hand side). For fruit and veg the Victoria market is best, or the road-side vendors with whom you can negotiate a better price.

The snorkling at Anse Forbans is excellent - only 20 feet from the beach you can see all sorts of beautiful fish. If you ask at reception, then Brigitte will lend you snokels, masks and flippers free of charge for your entire stay.
The beach is one of the least busy we came across, and often we had the whole beach to ourselves. It's difficult to lie on it later in the day because of high tide, but it's not really a problem until 4 or 5pm, and it's easy to plan your day around that.

We would recommend hiring a car for some of your stay, as there's so much to see and do on Mahe. Brigitte is very helpful, and will advise you of all the best places to eat, the best places to see, etc.
You will find that the owners will go out of their way to help you out with any query you might have, and always endeavor to make your stay the best one possible.

We had a great time at the Anse Forbans with our little 10 month old son. The owners were really helpful and nice and we really enjoyed the time we spent there. The garden is lovely and the chalets are super clean. A perfect spot for families with small kids. My husband, who is super careful about emergency situations, just advice the owner to consider supplying the chalets with special doors for emergencies (in case of fire).
