Firstly, note that there are two sections to Mitzpe Hashalom, the cabins and the suites. They are completely different and in different sections of the property. We stayed in one of the suites and didn't go into a cabin.
To get to the suites you walk through some flowered gardens. Our suite was very spacious, with a comfortable king size bed, eating area, and large jacuzzi. There is a deck with 2 deck chairs with a panoramic view over the lake towards Tiberius, and is obviously west facing so in April we had sun from around 11am until sunset. The suites also have large plasma TV's and DVD players. They also have a fridge with water and beer (free) and leave you a small bottle of wine. The breakfasts were more than we could eat. They possibly weren't very imaginative but the food was good regardless. They only make up the room once per day. There is no phone in the room so you need a mobile. There is free internet access.
The place is very tranquil. It is not near any towns and you definitely need a car. There is a restaurant on the property which was OK, but otherwise most of the restaurants require a minimum 20 minute drive. The roads are good but very windy to get up the mountain. This isn't a place you come for nightlife, it is a place to relax and explore northern Israel. Due to the elevation it is also cooler than when you are at lake level.
Price is relative. It is certainly better value than the much more expensive hotels in Tel Aviv where the rooms are a quarter the size. Generally Israel has become more expensive especially for Brits due to the £/Shekel. However I don't think £150ish per night is outrageous for what you get.
To find it on Google maps look for Kfar Haruv, it is next to it, about 100-200 metres south on the road. The restaurants in Northern Israel were good but unsophisticated. If you keep kosher and want something unusual we really liked Makom B'Sejera in Moshav Ilaniya. It is around 40 minutes drive and is expensive but serves game like venison, buffalo, pigeon, pheasant.
