After spending 3 days in the middle of bustling Old City Jerusalem, this lovely guest house was the perfect spot for a respite in the country. We got an amazing view of the some of the cliffs of Mount Arbel and a cozy, clean apartment equipped with a living area and small kitchenette. Sara and Israel Shavit were lovely hosts, providing delicious and filling breakfast in the morning and a cozy atmosphere in the evenings for dinner. The prices for dinner were the steepest out of all the meals of the trip (around 100-150 NIS/person), but the quality was quite good and for us, it was also worth the convenience to not have to go elsewhere.
Also, another review commented on the Shavit's English skills -- Israel did not seem to be very fluent, but we had no problems communicating with Sara. She arranged a driver for some sight-seeing we wanted to do since we did not rent a car and also took us to their wine cellar so we could bring home some Galilean wine without making a trip into the city. Apparently, Israel makes chocolates and candies down there -- we received a nice little treat as we were picking out wine!
As other reviews mention, Moshav Arbel is a little remote, so if you're staying for a prolonged period of time (we were there for just two nights), you might want to rent a car or stay in Tiberias depending on your travel plans. If you want a charming atmosphere to enjoy the country, I would recommend this place 100 times over.
