This facility was once known as "Amnun Bay Resort" and was recently bought by the Fatal hotels corporation that holds the franchise for the Tulip trademark in Israel.
It's rated as 3 stars hotel (tourist class).
It's located on the north shore of the Sea of Galilee ("Kinneret" in Hebrew), close to the holy Christian site of Capernaum.
This is not a highrise building, but groups of one level units scattered on a slope of a hill above the beach.
The room: every room is a stand alone unit. It has small bedroom (10 sq. meters) and a living room (15 sq. meters)with a sofa, small TV and tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. No safe deposit box in the room. The living room can sleep 2 kids. Powerfull aircon.
There's a nice balcony on the front with plastic table and chairs.
Food: average buffet breakfast included. Some times dinner is available for additional price. The lack of eating options for lunch and dinners is a major drawback, and the management said to be working for solution. You'll need a car to drive at least 10 minutes to nearby restaurants. "Capernaum Restaurant" is the closest , but it's a typical tourist trap with overpriced disapointing food.
Beach: is the major attraction of this place. It's for the hotel's guests and very pleasant, and has a lifeguard on duty. Like everywhere around this lake, the beach is stony, so bring plastic shoes or sandals. Strong undercurrents require precautions, drowning is easy, so beware.
I counted 40 stairs from my room to the beach, can be tiring with little kids on a hot day.
Bottom line: a quiet alternative to noisy Tiberias, basic comfort, helpfull staff.
