The hotel advertises many facilities, among them wireless internet, the SPA, newly renovated rooms and an internet cafe. It is all true, but... in order to use the wireless internet, you have to go out to the neighbouring hotel, and hide in the bushes with your laptop. (as advised by the delightful receptionist). The SPA offered by the hotel is in fact the public baths from the 1970’s which haven’t seen any slightest refurbishment since Ben-Gurion visited. The room was visibly refurbished a few years ago; this also coincides with the last time it was cleaned. The white bedding was made much more attractive by some splats of blood and black hair artistically displayed all around the room. The nice surprise was a Jacuzzi on the terrace, however it was broken. A hungry traveller would be delighted to find a fridge stocked with food awaiting him; however the smell of the food in the unclean fridge was a charitable gift from a previous occupant. The fine spread of food provided in the morning included green tomatoes, tasteless scrambled egg, tap water, orange coloured tap water but fortunately the hotel room contained unsuspected treasures of Israeli cuisine, so check well underneath your beds, maybe an olive (or two) are waiting there for you. The internet cafe is explicitly advertised on the road sign just beneath the word SPA. After having enquired about the use of internet, we were strongly discouraged (by the delightful receptionist) not to use the one kiosk because it is out of order.
