It seems I had a different experience than everyone else at King Solomon. The hotel is not centrally located but it has everything you need. The only complaint is if you are in the Kinneret Wing (floors 2-6) then you have to take 2 elevators and walk long hallways to get to your room. And the hallways aren't heated, so it's a very chilly walk in the winter. The views of the Galilee are beautiful and most rooms have balconies. There are also communal balconies on every floor to let you enjoy the scenery. The food was fine, not 5* and it was a repetitive buffet, but I've had much worse in Israel. The service is fine, when someone lost their keys, the front desk had someone up there in 5 minutes. There is a pool and spa. A friend ordered a massage and loved it. The rooms were clean and adequate size. There is a nightclub (or discotheque) right on premises that's open until midnight. The conference facilities do leave something to be desired. I didn't leave money in the room, but did leave a passport and iPod hidden in my luggage, neither were taken. But I always put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door because I don't need my room cleaned or anyone walking in. I have heard from friends who've stayed here that theft is a problem, through.
