“Europe In Safed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

We stayed in Villa Galilee for 2 nights.
We are very satisfied from the hotel and very enjoyed our stay there.
We felt like in Europe in the middle of Safed. The hotel looks very beautiful. The entrance with the steps is very impressive.
We ordered a superior room. The room is small but it looks like the hotel - very beautiful. The window view from our room worse than from bigger rooms.
The breakfast was very tasty. We also made a very good massage in the hotel spa.
The hotel located in the Safed that is very disappointing town.If you want to walk or bike better do it outside of Safed in Rosh Pina or in another Galilee towns or villages. The hotel is located also close to them.
The hotel staff was very nice except one women - the hotel owner. My wife wanted to ask her some question but she answered "I am not working here!"

“Fantastic escape”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

We stayed for 3 days mid-week at Villa Galilee. The hotel is beautifully furnished, quiet and relaxing. It's an escape from reality and just like stepping into a French country house in Provence. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice of hot and cold dishes. We found the food in the hotel restaurant so good that we ate there both nights and did not bother looking for anything else. Service was excellent, warm welcoming and friendly. Hightly recommended!

Room Tip: Go to the hotel via Rosh Pina and skip the route through Safed.

“First rate in the Galilee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Stayed for two nights mid-week in the winter in this lovely French-style Galilee getaway. We had a standard (classic) room, which was small but nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Great power-shower and good quality towels are nice touches. The spa treatments are fantastic and made up for the fact that the outdoor pool is only open in the summer. We eyed the lovely outdoor seating spaces, which would be lovely in the summer too. Very friendly, accommodating and responsive service and fabulous breakfasts (local cheeses, olives, fresh salads, omelettes made to order, delectable baked goods and breads) were a treat. The hotel is not within walking distance of the Old city or artists quarter of Tsfat, but is a good base for touring the northern Galillee.

the chef restorant in the hotel is one of the best kosher restorant that have visited and the service was really great.
we have also use the massage in the hotel SPA - clean place, calm & professional.
expected to find a mineral water complimentary in the room

“Looks Way Better on Internet”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

Went for a weekend trip expecting the rooms to live up to the brochure and web pics. Not only do the pics need to be updated so did our room. Room was cleaned in a lackadasical way, full of dust and had a bad smell from the kitchen underneath. Beds were not great at all, mattress very uncomfortable. We were pleased to get the massage "so called included" in the weekend deal, but it was substandard. Breakfast was good although by Israeli standards, a little bit on the skimpy side. Friends warned us that it wasn't as presented on the internet but we took the chance as it appeared so charming and boutiquey. The best was driving into the village of Rosh Pina and walking around the old part on top with all its charming boutiques and craftsmen. Thats a must if you're in the area..

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Kinneret, far from the kitchen,
