“Excellent Hotel”

My husband and I and four other couples were guests at the hotel a month ago and we had a wonderful time. We were greeted by the manager at the lobby and were shown to our rooms on the 10th floor with a magnificent view over to the mountains.
The food at all the meals was excellent and veried. The dining rooms were quiet and relaxing and more importantly, the service from the stuff was of the highest degree.
We had a beautiful Shabbat at the hotel and have only words of praise. This, we shall pass on to our friends with pleasure. I would like to mention that one of the stuff, Pierre was extremely obliging and on visit to Jerusalem this week, he kindly brought me my skirt I had left behind at the hotel. This was an extremely kind gesture of him and we grateful.
We look forward to being your guests again.

Rina & Benjamin Hadary

Room Tip: Magnificent view from the higer floors.

“Good Food, but no Coffee; Great Beds, but Rooms Smell”

There's great potential here, but this place seems to be on a serious austerity plan. We had delightful meals there, but except for breakfast there was nothing to drink but water. No soap, shampoo, or coffee pot in the room, which except for the redolence of smoke and the tiny tv, was large and luxurious. I'd go back, but this time with a teapot, a computer with DVD, and my own handcream.

Room Tip: the higher up, the closer to the wireless you are...

“Service Staff need a lesson in Manners!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

The hotel as a whole was average in its accommodations. The rooms were "worn" looking and the bathroom I had was stained with rust and the shower head was not working so they had attached a temporary one on the tap. The AC was fine. The service staff left much to be desired. We were hosting a large conference of 140 people there and they were if anything downright rude and begrudging of every thing we asked for. The meals in the hotel which I was rudely told where "kosher" when I asked a question about a particular item, were ok. The selection was good and there was a good mix of vegetables and fruit and meat dishes etc. Not the worst I have ever had for sure but average. I was surprised that such a large hotel could have staff that were so unfriendly. One morning a young lady desk clerk said good morning as I walked by and I had to double take because the rest were so rude in particular one dark haired woman that could have worked at a bar and had the same effect. The conference room was too small for our delegation and were crammed in like sardines so that was a mistake. They do not have a business centre and when I asked to print a boarding pass it was like I asked for the moon! They finally had me email it to them and then tossed it (literally) at me.

Room Tip: The higher up the rooms are great... the elevators take FOREVER if you are with a large group so con...

“Accettabile”

The hotel is not so good but acceptable.
Quite clean (the most important thing).
Breakfast and dinner are not so good, specially in the evening is better to go out for the dinner.
The staff has been quite kind and friendly, except one guy quite antipathic that appeared to be a coordinator.
The swimming-pool is included in the price, the fitness center has its own cost (approx 10$ a day). The hotel is near to the center of the city but you have to take a taxy (10-15 minutes).
There are lot of pilgrims, also italian.

“good enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2011

We stayed for 5 days - and while the bath tub was a bit rusty and the toilet seat wobbly, the staff was very pleasant. And there is so much to do in the, we were very pleased with the location. As the title says, good enough.
