This place has seen better days and needs a bit of a renovation. Everything works well and the staff do their best. Nice lounge area and good kitchen with roomtop terrace. A bit of a problem is that it has some very long stay guests who hang around all day.

this place is modest, but full of charm, with an authentic decoration, flowers and plants, and it's the cheapest dorm in town!
the collective area (sofa, eating aereas, a very cute balcony, roof top terasse with tables, sofa,....) are very nice to stay,
there is a collective kitchen where you can cook, leave your food in the fridge, etc...
computer with internet = 10NIS per hour, free wifi if you have your one computer.
the cheapest place to stay; 20dollars for dormitory (5 bunk beds, with lugage storage, a bit noisy, because of outdoor noise.. take your wax ear plug),
other rooms are nice too, and charming. (66 to 92dollars dor a doubleroom)

Staying at this run down, unfriendly, extremly hot and extremly noisy place was the one big mistake we made during our Isreael trip. I have no idea how this place managed to get all the good reviews. We stayed 2 nights and the first day we had to request to be moved to another room because they gave us a double room so tiny, it was hard to move around with just one person. The antiquated aircon made us caugh straight away and there was a window to the stairway only. The second room wasn't better, very small, very hot, access to half a window shared with the dorm just below us. The second night we stayed a a class A room (95 Dollars!) which was spacious, ok. But there were huge old aircons hanging just next to our window belonging to the next room We literally didn't sleep all night because it made the noise of a huge old tractor. We requested non-smoker but the sheets smelled of cold smoke which made us wonder, if they ever had been washed.
Not to mention the unfriendly staff that was not the least helpful. We both have been travelling a lot but none of us has ever experienced a place so poor and staff so rude.
Never, ever again!

Such a great place, quant and quiet, also in a great location. It would have been paradise were it not for the staff. There is a girl working there who is fine (I understood not one of the family). It is a pity that one has to come into contact with the female owner and her daughter. The pair are a bunch of evil witches. I paid 14 euros to sleep on a mattress on the roof (which is fine), only to be woken up at 8 o'clock in the morning, by the female owner kicking in my mattress. (Lucky she didn't kick me!!). They have no manners and absolutely no "customer service". They make you feel like they are doing you a favour while you pay a lot for it. Also the owners are greedy, so they refuse to repair the place properly. It is a fire-trap. Regarding their greed - they rip people off with hanging up a sign with the fees at the reception - in dollars and in shekels. There is a huge discrepancy between the value in dollars and the value in euros.
This is all too bad because it is a wonderful place - if only other people would be the hosts, it would be paradise.
But as it is, eventhough it is a nice place, the owners make it an awful place with negative energies all over. I would not recommend this place.
