My husband and I spent the first part of our honeymoon in the charming little B & B just minutes outside of Taos. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated with the style and atmosphere of the region. The backdrop of the mountains and the close proximity to the venues made this choice an excellent one. Melissa, our gracious host, prepared a delicious and beautifully presented breakfast each morning. At night, after a long day hiking or shopping at the nearby galleries, our bed was neatly turned down with chocolates left on our pillows. We could not ask for more. We left Taos with wonderful memories of the landscape but it is the warmth and hospitality of the bunkhouse that will bring us back to New Mexico again.

Buffalo Gal Bunkhouse is a charming B&B between downtown Taos and Taos Ski Valley. It's quaint, cozy, and the bed was probably the most comfortable we've ever experienced! You'll enjoy the cast iron fireplace, sitting room, and kitchenette in the room.

Melissa and Steven, the innkeepers, were extremely welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. They are both respectful of your privacy and available to help you make plans for your day. They have a large collection of books and movies, and the rooms all come with VCR and DVD player.

The delicious breakfast is served in your room, allowing you to eat when you want and in privacy. Green chile quiche, buffalo tamale pie, cranberry crumb cake, it was all fabulous! Upon arrival, there's also a complimentary bottle of wine awaiting you.

If you are planning to both ski and explore the surrounding area, this is the perfect place to stay. We will definitely return!
