After our 2nd Indonesia trip we stayed 3 nights here and enjoyed every minute of it. Room 429 was allright and clean, but there were signs of deterioration visible (rotten parts of the balcony ceiling) suggesting that the former owner Holiday Inn did not find it up to their standards anymore and sold it to the present owner.
Pro's are abundant however. The location was good, swimming pools very pleasant, restaurant very pleasant with a very sympathetic live band playing every night. Free WiFi all over the place. Located some 4-5 km away from the town of Senggigi made it possible to walk there, but if you don't want to walk that distance a taxi costs virtually nothing.

The Holiday Resort is situated right on the beach just a few minutes from Sengigi. Unlike Bali with its masses of tourists and hotels on every corner, Lombok is more quiet and restful. There is plenty to do on the island if you like to get out and the pool and beach offer a relaxing setting to just chill with your family and friends if exploration is not your thing.

The hotel itself could do with a little renovation but over all for the price you can't beat it. There are great houses/apartments across teh street that you can rent for at rates that are unheard of anywhere else and they are very large and spacious. However, being across the street was a bit of a pain when you have small kids.

Over all great experience for the price. Would recomend those coming to the area to spend more time on the Gili Islands just around the corner.

The hotel is the perfect place to enjoy a lovely quiet, relaxing holiday, but within easy reach of Senggigi, less than Rp20,000 by taxi. The hotel does not offer a shuttle bus service to Senggigi. We stayed in a Garden Chalet Room, and although a little dated, it was still very comfortable. We didn't bring a laptop, only a Kindle, and no problems with it, always logged us on to 3G which surprised as as we didn't expect 3G only wi-fi. The bathroom amenities were not replaced every day, and only 1 hand towel was provided, rather than 2, but at least the towels were changed every day, as were the sheets. We like the Holiday Resort much better than the Sheraton in Senggigi as the staff are fantastic, and the hotel really does have such a laid-back feeling. Beautiful swimming pool. Huge variety of food for breakfast (included), both Western and Asian. Very expensive to eat in the hotel restaurants and quite limited menus, and only 1 little warung just up the road, but of course Senggigi offers many choices.

For those of you finding Bali too busy, too many street sellers and you’re not interested in shopping then Lombok is the place. I have stayed at the Holiday Resort twice now and the staff remembered me 2 years on my second return. This resort is right next to the ocean and a short drive to Sengigi town if you want to try any of the restaurants there. Personally we found everything we were looking for right here and in the surrounding hotels - a simple beach walk will give you ample choice for dining. And the Resort itself has a choice of 3 restaurants and a band / entertainment of some sort each night by the pool. The pool is fantastic resort style. I never had to fight for a lounge. The guys in the pool bar are very entertaining and will gladly accommodate any concoction once they know your taste. We stay in a beach villa which faces the ocean directly, but no so close that you get covered in sand. The grounds are well maintained with coconut palms and lush lawns. The staff are amazing, there is a noticeable difference between people of Lombok to Balinese - they are quieter and a little shyer - however once you approach with a smile and a chat they come right back at you. They don’t have DVD machines, though they gladly found one for me to hire (at a decent rate) They also organised our scooters - fantastic service with out having to feel competitive or having to barter. I will come back again ... love it
