Stayed as part of a large group whih had booked out the island for a party. It was our first time but many of the other guests ewre repeat visitors; and we could quickly see why.
The island is about a 55mins ferry, 50min drive, then 20min boat trip from Singapore; so allowing for time at terminals and customs etc. if you leave Sinagpore around breakfast you'll be here in time for lunch.
Our room was stunning. Bedroom up stairs was large and airy with views out to sea. Downstairs was a huge "chill out" area with seats and a large day bed for lazing away the hours. Bathrooms (one upstrais and one down) were beautifuly designed and spotless. With the stiff sea breeze we had no issue with mossies in the rooms and didn't bother with the net on the bed at all.
Food was very good (particularly the Indonesian meals..why they bother with attempts at "European" food I don't know really!) although we would have liked to have seen an Indo option at breakfast. A plate of tasty fried rice with an egg (or something similar) would have been a more popular option that the attempt at eggs and bacon. However, this is a small criticism of otherwise lovely food.
Staff were super-helpful and friendly. We had no kids with us but most others in the groupd did and th staff did a great job keeping them entertained. Kids mela times at lunch and in the evenings meant the adults could really kick back and enjoy themselves!
The pool area is a delight; although it's a fair walk from the rooms at the other end of the island (about a 5-7min walk).
If you want things to do they have sailboards, kayaks, paddle boards, lasers and cats, snorkelling/diving, rock climbing and I'm sure they could organise just about anyting else you might fancy if you asked nicely!
...but it's not cheap!
