Me and my friends had a mini trip (saturday to sunday only) to Cirebon. We didn't make any reservation for the accomodation.
Sare Sae is a small hotel, nicely designed in modern vernacular style.
The hotel location was superb, it's only 10 minutes jay-walk from the train station. Located at the main street of Cirebon. The staff (Especially the lady in the reception) was exceptionally nice. She let us to have an early check in and gave us all needed information (public transport route and recommendation of places to see or food to taste)
The number of room is limited, and came with no frills.
The room itself is on the small side. But quite enough for a short stay (don't think it would be comfortable for a longer stay with many luggage. space kind of restricted). I do think the room in need for a better ventilation system, though... however, opening the window might do the trick.
their deluxe room rate (the most expensive one) was rated at IDR 300K, came with breakfast for 2 pax. additional pax for breakfast would cost you only IDR15K.
I especially love the breakfast. for IDR15K (Approx. USD1.7), you got a buffet of local food (rice, beef with sweet soy soup, fried onion sprinkle, vegetable dish, shrimp rice cake -- the menu might vary each day, i didn't ask). toast bread and selectable jars of jam also available. the hotel chef also available to make you egg base dish (scramble, sunny side, etc upon request). and also coffee and tea aside of mineral water. That was certainly above my expectation for the price they charged (was pessimistly expecting a plate of fried rice or noodles)
Overall, it was a lovely budget hotel, i would certainly reccomend the place and consider for a re-book, should i have a chance to travel back to Cirebon.
