This hotel was one of "old" hotels in Bandung. It was established since more than 20 years ago. It is surely ages... though in its time, it was one of few luxurious hotel.
The current name is actually changed to GRAND ROYAL PANGHEGAR.
I'm not sure whether the hotel management is still the same as it was or being taken over.
and learning from the website, it seems that the hotel was renovated and the floor is cover by woods (or parquet ? which is good since we don't like floor full with carpet ), this become one of many factors to stay. more over the offered rate is considerably makes sense.

The check in process is quick, which is good since it feels uncomfortable to stand in the lobby among soooooo many many people ... (at the time I check in - the lobby is very hectic and full of large group of tourists and also their large luggage).

but I feel disappointed when I found out that the floor was actually covered by a carpet in light color (peach-pink), maybe it was my mistake not to confirm the hotel first. but the carpet is indeed unclean, the unclean stain and dusty look, has made us uncomfortable to put off our shoes. this is actually my only complain, beside

the swimming pool is surprisingly cool ! it is clean and big enough.
the breakfast is average in choice, but great in taste.
taxi is easily to get, beside the Blue Bird taxi parked there.
there are bicycle ready to be rent

When we told the Hotel that we might leave our good in the room.The hotel management was very helpful for sending back our lost good,
