“Ok if it were cheaper, but plenty of better Homestay around ubud.”

Room was ok, but a bit dark and musty. Breakfast ok. Staff were friendly and helpful. Noisy very early in the morning - barking dog close to my room, children outside and a rooster crowing about 5.30 am. Would b a decent place to stay if around 120-150 rupiah. I ended up staying at sayong house for 200g rupiah, much much nicer.

“Delightful and homely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2011

I stayed at Nick's Homestay for three nights end of Jan'11 . As i was traveling alone I wanted to stay somewhere that I felt secure and safe. Nick's Homestay was ideal. Even though it is on a busy street the accommodation was set back from the road. The only noise was bird songs. The staff were very helpful and Nick's three little grandsons were delightful. I really enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for value for money.
I would also recommend a trip to Bhisma Spa owned By Nick. I left there feeling very relaxed ready to face the long return flight ahead.

“Basic but nice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2010

We stayed at Nick's homestay for only one night (they were full the rest of the week). It's a nice homestay with good value for money. You can't expect any luxery for their price. The room was ok, but we hated the bathroom it was realy nasty.

If they are out of rooms DON'T go to Nick's pension it's the biggest mistake we made. Same kind of luxery as at the homestay but poor value for money!

“A lovely, charming place to stay in Ubud!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 March 2010

I can highly recommened staying at this budget accomodation in Ubud. It is really good value for your money. I stayed there for 3 nights and just loved it. It was really very charming since you are actually staying in a family compound.

The room was very basic and so was the en suite bathroom, but it was nice and cleaned every day and nothing to complain about. The walls are very thin so you do hear your neighbours talking, coughing etc, but that was not a problem. There are no glassed windows, only mosquito nets covering them, so life outside in the garden is heard from the room. That wasn't a problem either though. Use earplugs and you will be fine.

The garden outside the room is just lovely with all these tropical trees and flowers and you get your breakfast (which is included in the price) served on your little private veranda. Breakfast is great with tea/coffee, fruitsalad and bananapakes or the like.

I used the pickup service from the airport and got a very nice and reliable driver who also took me to my next destination via a lot of sights on the way.

Location is very good. It is probably a 10-15 minutes walk from Monkey Forest Road, but that was not a problem. Jl Hanoman, the street where it is located, is very nice with a lot of shops and some good restaurants and cafees.

I would really recommened you staying at Nicks Home stay and I will definately stay there again if I every go back to Ubud.
