We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely place with our 2 small children. We were a bit worried that we would be a bit isolated here but there was a surprising number of things to do within easy distance away, even with small children.
We had a ground floor room (probably the only safe place with little toddlers) which was very large, beautifully decorated and spottlessly clean. There was plenty of room for a bed for our little boy. The grounds were lovely with a gorgeous view over the rice paddies, coconut palms and mountains. Our children were very entertained at the hotel by the swimming pool, resident rabbits, a friendly cat and a gamelan to play. We had excellent wireless connection and there was a good selection of dvds and books to keep adults amused in the evenings.
The service was better than a 5 star hotel - we would go to the pool and pool towels would suddenly appear for us (no signing them in and out or calling for them to come like in other places), if we wanted to go somewhere the car was available with no cost (if close by).
We ate a lot from their kitchen - it was excellent quality food at reasonable prices - and so convenient to not have to wait in a restaraunt with the small kiddies but have the food bought to us.
We did a trip to the bird park - which was surprisingly fantastic, esp for kids. We went on the village walking tour which was interesting, very reasonably priced although a bit touristy. We also visited the sukawati art market which was the best handicraft shopping I'd done in Bali .
With older children, we would probably stay for longer because we could go on longer day trips and activities.
This is a very well run, beautiful place. A place where you feel like you are actually in Bali rather than in a generic south east asian resort. Can't wait to come back and will be recommending to our family and friends.
