Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms and pool. The free shuttle service operated as advertised. A few gripes. I couldn't work out how to switch off the aircon. I was served a meal completely different to the one I ordered and nobody seemed to care. The food is comparatively expensive and it is very average quality. Nice place but not great value for money.

This is my first stay at Bhanuswari and I love the tranquility and greenery all around. The landscaping of the resort is filled with beautiful, colourful plants and padi field all around. you can hear birds chirping and see squirrels running on top of coconut trees.
I love that I am with nature and yet able to view traditional lifestyle of balinese people.
The staff are friendly and room clean.
Early morning and evening you will see staff cleaning the corridor/walkway.
I also have the honour of meeting the owner of the resort Bapak Nyoman. A down to earth guy, friendly and very passionate about art.
I had a pleasant surprise when the owner turned up to be my personal guide when i requested for a ride to the art gallery.I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Bapak Nyoman for his hospitality.
The resort provide free shuttle. Resort is about 10-15 minutes from central ubud. It is ok with me as I prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of central which is too commercialized for me. To me Bhanuswari is perfectly located for my total enjoyment and peace of mind.

Was here in june 2010 and booked 3 nights in a deluxe room. You are in the middle of ricefields and the jungle, about 15-20 min away from Ubud centre. First impression is not so good but once you feel the rest and peace you get here its wonderful.The rooms are ok, get used to have some bugs, ants in the room but nothing that will kill you, it is in the middle of the jungle so what else do you expect. The restaurant is ok, limited choice but food is nice. Theres a small swimmingpool too. There are rooms under the restaurant but those dont look as nice as the rooms in the small bungalows you have there. When you are looking for luxuary...forget it, when you wanna recharge your batteries in a peaceful surrounding ..this is it.

My friend and I arrived here October 2011 with plans to stay only 2 nights and then go off touring elsewhere but after being here for only a couple of hours we decided we were going to spend our last week in Bali at Bhanuswari...I can;t offer enough praise for the place, the facilities are great, fantastic open air restaurant, 2 sparkling pools, one right next to the rice fields. It has it's own spa, free shuttle service on call to take you into central Ubud and pick up available to around 11pm. Private tours are available to all the top tourist spots. Thea accommodation cost was half the price we were paying in central Ubud and if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing environment then this is definitely the place. The staff are extremely pleasant and obliging..they even have a laptop for free use by guests....If you feel like a little stroll then you can walk around the beautiful gardens or around the local village...cooking classes are available, moutain bikes and probably other things I didn't even ask about as I was too busy chilling out by the pool most days enjoying the fantastic ambience. They also provide airport pickups and drop offs...this is where I'll be heading when I return for sure!
