Have stayed here so many times over the last 20 years. From its earliest beginnings to its extension over the road at Honeymoon 2. What do we like best and keeps bringing us back? Breakfast: has got to be one of the best going around. In the old days it was delivered to your room, but the complex has got to big, so now you have breakfast at the front coffee bar area. A very big plus here, is a designated non smoking area upstairs where you do not have to inhale 2nd hand cancerous smoke from other inconsiderate diners. (I wish they would do the same at their Casa Luna restaurant.)
Our first choice of room was not available, so we chose Laxmi Deluxe B. What we didn’t at the time of booking, was our bed had only 1 way in; and our age, this can be a problem if one needs the toilet in the night; having to climb over the spouse. Then we were kept awake by the live re-enactment of that famous scene from the movie Harry meets Sally. (no male voice was heard) Fortunately it starts to rain and the sound of rain drops bouncing off the banana leaves outside our bedroom window muffles “Sallies” passionate enthusiasm for what is taking place in her bedroom and an opportunity for us to get some sleep. To quote Sally. “YES YES YES” In the morning we discovered a large puddle in our room, so we relocated across the road to Honeymoon 2 to an air-conditioned room overlooking the rice paddies and watching the farmer and his Japanese cow (hand held tractor)ploughing. We find the bedroom and bathrooms quite large. It’s a positive not having T V or phone in the room. We find the location excellent. Sure, something’s won’t work properly from time to time, but that’s Bali.
