“Magic in Ubud!”

I am a tour operator for Africa and am very badly spoiled by our wonderful 5 star lodges... however I must say the service at the Pita Maha challenges the best of them. We were astonished by the fast, professional service of the hotel from room service to the hotel concierge and laundry. Our room, the 'spa villa' was absolutely gorgeous, very romantic, and was the perfect blend of traditional Balinese architecture and contemporary comfort. The hotel is ideally located near the heart of Ubud and has shuttles every hour to town. There are several great restaurants within walking distance (the BEST is just next door...)as well as fabulous shopping. Best massage in all Bali at the hotel. Highly recommended. Cherri Briggs, President, Explore Inc. Steamboat Springs Co

Room Tip: Spendy but worth it! The villa spa. All rooms are good though w great views.

“Heaven on earth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

From the moment we arrived it was evident this was a going to be a magical place & we weren't disappointed. The location & layout of everything from the reception, restaurant & lounge on the upper levels to the villas on the lower levels has been well thought out. You feel as though you are the only one staying, as you meander around the network of paths each leading to another hidden treasure within the complex. The friendliness of all the staff & the attention to detail is unsurpassed. We even had a tablecloth & candles supplied when we ordered room service. We had a pool villa & it was even better than the photos on the net. We loved everything about the place & will definately be staying here again when we next return to Bali. In one word "magical". Kim & Len from Australia

This is a big sprawling resort, but still you get privacy and seclusion in the villas. From the pool villas you have Incredible jungle valley views...really breath taking stuff, especially at sunrise.

On the down side....and lot of creepy crawlies and lot of stairs with poor night time lighting.

“Heavenly Retreat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We love love this charming hotel. This was the second hotel of our honeymoon (first was the Fabulous Hotel Tugu) and it was almost unreal! The views from the main lobby are stunning and our villa was WOW!! The whole villa and walled in area was Huge and we had a perfect dipping pool. The bathroom in our villa was amazing; outdoor shower and bath. We loves breakfast and the staff were very helpful, great job!

The scene is set for wonderful days in this beautiful boutique resort. The Ubud area is offering a magnitude of choices, be it artist paintings, dining, shopping etc.
If you have troubles walking this is probably not the place since you will find quite a lot of stairs, for instance if a pool visit is desired..
We used the free shuttle service a lot and it worked out fine
