We expected so much from the Gangsa, and the most came true.
We were picked up at the airport late at night. The driver was waiting us with refreshing towels and soft drink. Great.
The first view once we arrived was also impressive. Atmospheric environment with the lights and the setting.
Our house looked really great with open-air living area, swimmingpool, comfortable beds,.....
The day after, by daylight, it was good to see that our house need a little refurbish. There are really a lot of dirty spots on the walls!! Even better was a real hole in the floor of the sleepingroom.....covered by a carpet!! In general, the inside-building gives rather an old-fashioned look.
The beach location they have, is unfortunately not the best spot in Bali.
Beside this all, I only can confirm that this firm offers a great service.
The service and food are excellent. The massages are very good.
It was a great experience to live outside in your own compound.
But for the money you pay, you want at least a clean maintenance of the building.
Once refurbished, I definitely go back!!

We stayed at the Gangsa for our last few days in Bali.

We stayed in a private villa with our own private pool.
The resort was clean, very private and well maintained. We loved it!

All staff including the chef were very friendly and hospitable.
They simply couldnt do enough for you.
The food was delicious and service outstanding.

They had a comfortable airconditioned vehicle and were happy to take you anywhere you wished.

The private Gangsa area on the beach was great, we made a great friend in one of the beach staff who went above and beyond his call of duty and provided us with a private outlook on life in Bali.

Sadly, our stay was cut short due to a death in the family.
Once we notified the staff of the news, they went out of their way to help us find earlier flights home and ensured we arrived at the airport in time for our flight.

All in all GREAT people and GREAT place to stay!
We will definetely go back and highly recommend.

We stayed 3 nights in September with a 4 years old daughter. The villa itself is not so gorgeous not new but simple, spacious and well maintained that we like. There is no public pool and the reception is very small. We love the privacy in our villa. The staff is very kind and always ready to make us enjoy. We went to the beach everyday by their car. On the way to the beach, the driver (butler) gave us the useful information about Sanur, "this restaurant is famous for ice cream, that restaurant serves the good Indonesian food, you can buy good souvenir at that shop....". Yes, much better than the guidebook. The sea of Sanur is quiet and beautiful. If you like "hustle bustle ", Sanur is not the choice. If you like "chic sophisticated", Sanur is not the choice either. On the beach, bed is available for the Gangsa guests. We asked for the sand toy but unfortunately unavailable. If you are with kids, you'd better bring some sand toys. After having lunch in the casual restaurant in Sanur, we enjoyed the cosy villa in the whole afternoon.
Rebab spa is a must! The staff here is also kind. Not so expensive for the hotel spa. During out treatment, my daughter was sleeping in the sofa and fell. The therapist quickly held her in her arms, swung to let her fall asleep again so quietly not to upset us. We were so impressed not only the therapist’s techniques but also kindness.
This is our 3rd time to Bali. What we want in Bali is:
spacious, well maintained villa with a swimming pool
private, laid-back atmosphere
good, casual restaurants
smart butler, not pushy
We finally found the villa to satisfy us! We'd like to thank the staff of the Gangsa. You guys made our vacation so memorable. We will definitely be back!

It's not cheap, but you certainly do get your money's worth here. Private when you need it to be, lots of service when you need it, and beautifully upkept buildings and gardens.

It's up a remote side-street and is quite far from the beach. However the staff will take you in a car to anywhere for free, and they have a little reserved patch of beach in Sanur, next to the Bonzai cafe.

Overall had a lovely stay.
