We get the last room in the hotel, through which staff was going to laundry! Windows was facing to wall, where was washing mashines! We don't have any table or chair on terrace (like other rooms), because the entrance door was in the corner of the building. I know that other rooms are better, but it is realy already quite old hotel. Only breakfast was great...

After reading so many good reviews on this hotel we decided to stay there - we were not pleased with the first room as it smelt of mould, but once we complained we were moved to another much nicer room upstairs. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff very friendly.
I would shop around for drivers as they dont offer the most competitive rate, also we met another couple there who paid $20 less a night than us, so it might be worth shopping around for the price as well.
The road near the hotel is quite nosiy as taxi and bemos are constantly going up and down beeping at tourists. Also the shops are over-priced compared to Ubud and Kuta.

The rooms are spacious and well maintained, However, the closet and toilet were in definite need of repair/renovation. Overall the room was clean. The manager (Ms. Budi) and staff were friendly and helpful. Nice, well maintained pool. Good complementary breakfast at the adjoining Mango Cafe. Staff at the Cafe (Rico et al) are humble and serve good food with care and without delay. They refilled our water bottles instead of having to buy more plastic bottles. Puri Mango Guest House is located very close to Sindhu beach (5 mins walk). Sindhu beach is calm and very good for swimming unlike the Kuta beach. The room rates are reasonable (special rates for internet booking!). Sanur being 20-30 mins drive to Kuta area, its a nice alternative to staying in Kuta.

This was out first trip to Bali and we are going back in another 12 months - can't wait. Mangos was a great place to stay, right across the road from a great little bar and the Night Market where there were many bargains to be had! I wouldn't hesitate going back to Mangos. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The pool, although small, was kept immaculately clean and the pool maintenance man was more than willing to fish things out of the pool for us, ie sunglasses and lighters! I can't wait to get back to Bali and the next 12 months cannot go fast enough!!! All up the accommodation cost us around $300NZD for 10 nights - bargain! The rooms are very basic, but the toilet flushed, the shower and aircon worked, so that was all we needed! Oh and the fridge to keep our Bintang cold, you do have to pay a little extra for this, but sooooooo worth it!!!
