we stayed here on the last leg of our journey to Bali for honeymoon. First things first i guess., this is not a good choice of honeymoon hotel. i made a bit of a mistake on this one considering the occasion, but in fairness after staying in fairly expensive hotels for the rest of the trip i was looking for somewhere a little cheaper, i probably should have just spend the extra few quid on somewhere nicer and i got what i paid for!
The pros:
The hotel staff were very nice to us,not outstanding service but adequate.
The hotel is right on the beach which was nice and quiet and we were able to have a lovely relaxing time there ( the beach itself is fine but bali to me is not a beach destination. if u are looking for fab beaches there are certainly better countries than bali for that!)
the pools- were clean and attended to when we where there.
the cons:
well i guess the hotel is pretty dated and when it is beside some much prettier and more well maintained hotel it really shows!
i really think the choice of room in this resort can dictate how good your stay may be. we had one of the better rooms and it was fine, dated, work needed to be done and would have been like heaven when i was a backpacker back in the day but for what i would want now, not really good enough even at a cheap price.
i would not stay in a place so in need of a paint job back home so kinds hard to justify staying in it even if it is in bali now.
but i guess the room did the job and that was it. no bugs or insects thank god but i can imagine maybe the guests in cheaper rooms may have genuine cause to give out.
i dont really like giving bad reviews to places because i think it will probably suit somebody and for the price i knew it wouldnt be amazing so what i will say about it is this.
for a back packer - perfect.
for honeymoon- no
for family holiday- definietly doable- just pick one of the more expensive rooms and you will be ok, but expect it is dated!
notes: i saw reviews on here that said showers were cold, i found that actually it takes a good six or so minutes for the shower to actually heat up so give it time- not great for the enviroment and wasting of water etc but hot shower does seem to be available !
the hotel could use the slow period to start updating some of the rooms, a paint job and some new furnishings would make all the difference to this hotel i think!
,enjoyed staying to an extent but probably wouldn't return! sorry!
Room Tip: pick one of the more expensive rooms
