This is my fourth stay at the Niche and this hotel improves with every stay. The Niche has so many good points. If you are wanting to be close to nightlife you are only a couple of minutes walk away but in saying that if you are not interested, when your in the hotel you would not know it was so close. On previous stays we have heard music in the distance but nothing to prevent us from sleeping and on this stay we heard nothing.
We had one day when we could smell sewage like smells from the drains in our room but on informing staff this was quickly resolved with the maintenance crew eradicating the smell.
Breakfast offers a good variety of foods with an egg station that has been added since our previous stays. I would like the egg station do pancakes as well though! Pre cooked pancakes are offered.
Food offered by the hotel is of good quality and I love the club sandwiches and my teenagers raved about the fried ice cream.
Staff are friendly and extremely helpful with anything, even ordering delivery of Maccas to the hotel for my teenagers. Thanks Buda.Staff always remembered our names and what you would like to drink when in the pool bar. Pool bar has a great selection of drinks with happy hour from 4pm-6pm (buy 2 cocktails get one free)The making of these are exceptional!! Beer is lovelly and cold almost at freezing point.
Cleaning staff are exceptional and we have never had any problems with things going missing. This has happened to us at other bali hotels. We have left cameras,laptops and money out and never had a problem.
Security staff are on hand 24/7 and again offer a friendly smile.
The beach is a little bit of a walk away aprox 10-15min down Poppies 2 but it always took us longer with shopping on the way.
The pool is a little tired looking but clean and never had a problem getting a lounge by the pool. I believe the pool is having a revamp in April.
Pickup and transfer from the hotel has always been reliable and on time.
We were allocated rooms 102 and 103 and never had any problems with noise.
This hotel is a great little place to stay and will definitely look forward to staying at The Niche again.
