We stayed at Dewi Sri hotel early feb 2012. Very disorganised reception staff, unhelpful and rude. I have been to Bali a few times before and NEVER have I received such bad service. We were travelling as a family group and had booked 4 standard rooms. My fiance and I were allocated a room with 2 single beds. When I went and spoke to the reception staff and asked for a double bed, they said rooms are not guaranteed. They did put us in a family room (as they did my parents) until a standard room became available. They moved my parents saying someone was checking into the family room and they were unable to stay in it for the duration of our stay - no one ever checked into it. We refused to move as it was an inconvenience to us - as we were out most days for the whole day. Spoke to the manager about the situation and she was just as bad as the staff - no wonder they are the way they are - lead by example. Wouldn't you want to keep customers happy and comfortable - means good recommendations and repeat customers. Obviously not for this hotel.
Was very noisy at night.
Pool has no shade what so ever.
Breakfast was ok.
The lane way to the hotel was annoying and full of typical Balinese locals trying to get you to buy things from their shop.
Was very disappointed and will never stay here again. Can get much better places for the same price or even less.
I would not recommend this hotel.
