I was delighted to have stayed at this lovely, almost boutique hotel recently and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. While I was able to find a steal online for less than half the normal cost, it might be a bit pricey for the average vacationer. But, the service, location, property, beach, and every tiny little aspect of this hotel made it well worth even the regular price. Everyone was lovely and took care of me and my sister during our stay. My sister got food poisoning from an outside restaurant (NOT one of the hotel's restaurants) while we were there and they even offered to help us find a doctor to come see her. Luckily, some medication from a local pharmacy did the trick, but I was touched by their thoughtfulness. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would look into staying here again, should I be lucky enough to return to Bali.

My partner and I have recently stayed here for two nights... so sad! We wish we could have stayed longer, since you can never get enough of it!! Everything is so perfect, so quiet and it really made up for the hectic Kuta we had been in just before. So it was a perfect end to our stay in Bali, relaxing by the pristine water of the pool, the food at the bar!!, reading with the sound of the sea just at the background, the massage were unique, so were the always-spotless-clean areas everywhere, but the highlight was the staff! No matter what time or where in the hotel you were, you were always greeted by a big bright smile of a genuinely happy employee!!! Thank you so very much for making our stay so magic! We look forward to seeing you again, hopefully in the nearest future!

My husband and I booked the Orient Express Jimbaran Puri after reading reviews on tripadvisor, and looking at the property on the net. When we checked in we were greeted by Liu who was assigned to people who made their booking via the net.

The first encounter with the hotel was mesmerizing and was beyond expectation, it was then told to us by the very warm and friendly staff that we were upgraded to a villa with a private pool. The villa was just perfect, and made the stay the best we have ever had!

It was just such an awesome surprise and a cherry on top of the otherwise beautiful property. The restaurants were great with the freshest seafood and cooked to perfection. The beach-side bar had some really amazing cocktails which can sipped whilst getting a massage on the beach.

I really have to thank the hotel, Liu and the staff here for the most memorable vacation we have ever had and cant wait to get back there soon... infact we have already planned it :)

Lovely place. We went on our honeymoon for two weeks. In hindsight, perhaps it would have been interesting to do one week in Ubud at the sister hotel (Hanging Gardens), but we were more than happy to spend the full trip at this hotel.

Some complaints in other reviews I have seen (if at all people complained about anything) about the cleanliness of the beach. Perhaps this depends on wind directions / weather conditions, time of the year etc... we were there in August (2008.... I am writing to a few years later, to be honest) and it was fine. It's true that it isn't a private beach, but there is plenty of space and I personally prefer it to be public and thoroughly enjoyed having my evening cocktail with a view of locals playing football on the beach in the distance. Also, the pool is very beautiful, so an excellent alternative.

We have fun memories of walking down the beach towards the Four Seasons, where you can find great restaurants lined-up on the beach right up to the waterfront with really tasty catch of the day fish, done Bali style with wonderful flavors. You pay VERY little for the food there. Walking back on the beach at night made my wife jump because there were quite a few little crabs (if you went close to the water), but perhaps this formed a good indicator of cleanliness... the marine life is flourishing :-)

In any case, the hotel itself offers wonderful food and an amazing setting (very romantic) and great service etc. Although we stayed long, the options of on the beach, at the bar, in the garden, at the pool side, western or Indonesian food, kept us more than happy. And of course a short cab ride and you can find lots of other interesting places to eat. We also had nice pizza at the Four Seasons for example.

My wife went to the spa all the time. Became friends with one of the girls there.

The hotel organized a day-trip sailing and snorkelling for us, also very recommendable.
