I have had a very pleasent stay in Hotel Abhinandan. Friendly staff, nice rooms and good price. Hotel’s Location is very good, nearest to all temples, situated on Highway

I fully endorse the views expressed by Mr. Kumar 019. Hotel Abhinandan is indeed a very pathetic hotel. It just reminded me of "Bhooth Bangla" with filthy rooms, terribly bathrooms, with the restaurant closed even at 8 am. If i think of the condition of the bathroom, i still feel nauseating and perhaps the commodes were installed in 1960's! The rates were exorbitant and the attitude of the manager was totally indifferent. The entire hotel hand only one boy who had to do all the work himself. Felt sorry for that chap. Please, Please, don't ever make the mistake of staying in this horrible hotel. It is my sincere advise to all tourist who go to Mathura. Luckily we stayed only for half day in Mathura and got "Mukthi" from this horrible place. Anitha , Bangalore

We were a group of 4 adult tarvellers , myself , my wife and my brother and his wife. We planned a 4 week trip to India mainly for pilgrimage and historic sight seeing. We booked all hotels and tours through the internet and most of the hotels were booked relying on the reviews. We were happy with most of the hotels with the exception of 2 .
One of the hotels we were unhappy with is Hotel Abhinandan in Mathura. When we arrived at the hotel we checked in and were shown the rooms. We booked deluxe rooms. The rooms were dirty , smelly and not to our satisfaction and we asked the manager on duty to show us something better. He showed us the suits . The bedroom and the lounge areas looked elegant but when we looked at the bathrooms it was filthy. We did not had a choice but to stay there for the night.We did pay extra for the suits
There was no hot water and we had our shower in cold water and there was power cut off .The hotel did manage to get the back up supply which took a while .The meals were good and good value for money as well.

As we had to leave early in the morning next day for Agra we arranged with the manager for early breakfast . The manager agreed to provide breakfast at 7.00am.

We went to the dining area at 7.00am and to our surprise we found all lights off and staff sleeping in the dining area. I went to the kitchen area to see if any person was there. There was no body there and the kitchen was so filthy with rubbish lying all over the place and cooked food left there on the bench uncovered. I have never seen such a filthy kichen.

There was no way we would have had our breakfast there after seeing the kitchen. We had to wake all the staff , some were sleeping in the dining area and some in the lobby.

Since breakfast was included in the deal we asked the manager to review the rates . We had a lengthy discussion and arguments and decided to pay and move on . The staff even locked the gates which made it even more difficult and would not open the gates unless we paid the whole amount.

I had no intention of leaving the hotel without paying but surely we hould have been compensated for having cold shower , power cut off and no breakfast.

The hotel is centrally located, properly designed and also has elegant suit rooms but is not well maintained.

If you are staying at this hotel never ever have your meals there unless you have had a look at the kitchen.

I hope the management will look at this review and try to make improvements. I also urge people staying there to report sensibly so that future travellers are not fooled by the reviews. Most of the review for this hotel is positive and I do not agree with the contents.

I have been to the hotel with my friends and stayed for a night. The hotel is situated at a very excellent location, on the very National Highyway No. 2, on the Govardhan Crossing. You can easily visit the Mathura town. Nearly places like Vrindavan and Govardhan are easily accessible from the hotel, no need even to get into the Mathura town. The room was good, well litten. Bathroom were clean. I hope the rooms would have been a bit larger. The hotel give a beautiful look at the night. The staff were friendly, perhaps may be because my friend belonged to Mathura itself.

Krishna Janmabhoomi temple is just around 4 kms, about 10-15 mins on a rickshaw. You can also visit Dwarkadheesh temple in the morning hours. My overall experience was satisfactory.
