ocated on rajpur road & close to all the shopping you may like! food menu is limited,room heating not very effective( do they switch off central heating in day time ?), hotel is presently under renovation,room service can take 35-40 minutes( they can also get your order wrong!)they may not send the Chinese sauces with Chinese food unless u ask for it . the hot water in the shower is tepid ......they give u a newspaper in the morning.

The hotel is good Value not really great value.Bathrooms could do with some rehauling.There is too much leakage in the bathrooms.Rooms are decent and the hotel is well located on the main road.The breakfast is not included in the tariff and if it were would be a good idea as then it wouldnt be that bad the amount spent on the room tariff,thats a little value added service.
They can do with some renovation.Room service was ok.Sandwiches that we ordered were not bad but not very great.Location is good and there is a good chinese restaurant across the hotel.There is a good multi plex across from the hotel so it is good for children and adults alike.

I stayed in Hotel Great Value recently, 3rd Nov to be precise. The hotel is located conveniently on Rajpur Road. This is an old hotel and signs of ageing are visible everywhere. The room where I stayed was a deluxe room, the tariff was Rs3600/- on which I got 20% discount. Room no. was 201, the room was okay, nothing great. It had an old TV not an LCD one. They don't give complimenatry mineral / bottled water here, and if you buy it its costs Rs50/- per bottle, so where is the "Great Value" one is left to wonder. The kettle to heat water to make tea was not working so couldn't have my morning tea. Breakfast was a disappointment as I had great expectation from Dehradun. In name of cut fruits they only had cut papaya that too came after repeated requests. Other than boiled eggs didn't see any non-veg stuff like salami, sausage etc. No health food like sprouts. The fare was the puri-sabzi-sambar-idli-vada, most of which was not hot and seemed stale. Service at breakfast table was pathetic, no one came to enquire for water or teaand to get the waiter's attention one had to shout at the top of the voice. I think at this price better service and amenities are expected, else its not "Great Value". Only thing which was positive was its location, though there are other hotels nearby also on Rajpur Road.

I stayed in this property at Dehradun on way to Mussorie. Rooms are specious , location is good and the staff is courteous.Hotel has specious Dinning hall and ample parking. Hotel is good bargain considering the tariff is reasonable
