We booked this hotel from makemytrip.com and got 2 rooms at a discounted rate. The rooms were dingy and and bathrooms pathetic. The hotel assured us that there was a 24 hour hot water supply. This is not true. Hot water is available only from 6 am. If you want it earlier you have to tell the staff in advance. Both the rooms were in a corner, stuffy with no views (the windows faced other parts of the building. The staff is indifferent. There were so many foreigners staying that business was booming in their opinion without having to make effort. However, we were witness to at least one argument between foreigner tourists and the staff over the meagre breakfast plan (a coffee and 2 slices of toast). Food is very expensive. All the staff lines up for tips when you check out, regardless of whether they have done any bit of work. If you forget to tip the door man, he reminds you by opening your taxi door and literally getting in to the taxi with you. They insist on being tipped by each and every one of the group. Moreover, they expect tips from Indians in the same manner as foreign tourists would tip, which are generally absurd amounts of money.
