I travelled in May with 3 elder members of the family to attend a wedding . We were given 2 rooms. For getting a plastic bucket i had to make 8-10 calls to maintenance/facilities. Also in the morning there was no hot water in the wash room and our repeated complaints made them switch on the heater and we got some Lukewarm water .

The flush was out of order and dangling in one room , and the attendants told us we didn't know how to operate it. It was after we shouted at them that we had travelled abroad and we were not illiterates that they even came to have a look.


And finally the huge number of cockroaches which kept showing up from somewhere. A real nightmare for me and our family. At Rs.4000 - Rs.5000 per day charges, I think it's a total rip off.

I would have rated this hotel 4 stars, but there were too many little things wrong.
Overall it is a comfortable hotel..

I room was good size with a nice bath and clean,comfortable beds and reasonable appointments.
As everywhere in India the staff was very friendly.

The location was in a quiet neighborhood. You will need a taxi to the Ganges and the old city. There is little around the hotel to walk to.

The wifi was free and worked well in the lobby, but not in the room.
The TV had essentially no English channels.
The AC was either off or freezing cold.
The buffet breakfast was limited. You will find something to eat, but it is average for this size hotel.

The faucet in our bath was leaking badly. On a festival weekend they could not get it fixed, so in typical Indian way, they showed us how to turn the water on and off under the sink.

Situated in a posh locality, well connected. Room are big and cozy. Staff are helpful. You can enjoy your stay while staying in Varanasi.
Rooms are clean and well arranged. Sevice is very good. The tariff is quite low as compared to its service.
The complementary breakfast needs to be upgraded. The choice is limited.
Else every thing is very good.

The hotel was a bit far from the busy centre, which, in a way, is a good thing. Varanasi is a wonderful and intense place, but it's nice to go back to a quieter place in the evening. The hotel was impecably clean, with large and comfortable rooms, great bathroom (the best shower we had!) and a great restaurant (a bit tacky but with wonderful food!). It would be nice to have internet access in the rooms (it's only available in the lobby).
