Breakfast is hurrible and the behavior of the supprting staff is not at all good.

At Rs 700 ($US20) a night puts it into mid-range and I expected more but room was dark, dingy, shabby and freezing cold; Intermittent hot water even when there were no electricity cuts.
Very noisy, prepare to be constantly have your door knocked even when you ask them not to.
Impatient and forgetful staff, very slow restaurant,
Even the workmen fixing their driveway would harass me whenever I walked in or out of the hotel.
4-year old child of the manager/owner was absolute pain, even if you love kids.
Can't complain about the soft mattress though - always a highlight in India.

It is a nice family runed place. Seema the owner, was very helpful in giving tips on travelling women, shopping cheap and what all to see and do like locals.
Her son was a cutiee pie 3 year old. I was leasuring out in the garden eating whatever great Indian food they offered while the girls went exploring to the nearby monastries and museums.

I enjoyed this place enough to really share my experience.

Me and my my husband Fredrick, stayed at the Golden Buddha after 2 crazy days in Varanasi city. we should have stay there only in the first place. The hotel is located in a polluion free area, and close to the Buddhist sites. The restaurant has excellent Lebanese food, a bit slower service though, but we weren't in a rush anyway... The owner's wife is really nice.
