This place is magical in a magical city. The rooms and common areas are so comfortable. The staff and owner are the perfect hosts for your stay in Varanasi. The location is perfect right on the bank of the mighty Ganges next to a temple. If there is anything you need to know about Varanasi, the staff is extremely knowledgeable. The meals at Ganga View were divine and you always meet such nice people there. I cannot wait to return and share this jewel with my family.

Whenever I visit Varanassi, I usually stay closer to the burning ghat.
This is a top rated hotel for the very popular Assi Gatt.
Assi ghat is very popular with artists and especially rated musicians. It is also popular for those wishing to learn other arts such as fire dancing.

This is well worth a bit of a spurge.

My brother has been living in India for over the past 35 years and he is very friendly with the owners. The small guest house is located directly on the last ghat with views of the Ganges. The rooms are charming, decorated with antiques and beautiful drawings on the walls. It has air conditioning and showers. There is a beautiful terrace off of which the better rooms are located and was the site of a Bollywood filming scene while we were there. The food is vegetarian and good, served in an inside diningroom. We loved staying here and would return if we visit again.
