Reading other reviews I guess I've been lucky. Paid 600rps for a double room, it's clean, hot water 24h, free wifi (turned off after 11pm). Stayed 3 days, there might be better options but I needed a parking for my bike, and Haifa was much more expensive.

we stayed in this hotel during 6th-10th december. we enjoyed stay at hotel ganesha. the rooms are very clean the staff is very cooperative. the hotel is near assi ghat and also Banaras hindu University.well connected to major locations of varanasi. good internet facilities were provided during our stay. 24hrs hot water is available.

PLEASE DONT STAY HERE!! I have never stayed in such a horrible hotel ever. the hotel was so unhygienic. it had water leakage problems. the 1st day we checked in the entire floor was filled with water. there was just1 guy incharge of room service and housekeeping and all other issues. he took about half hour to clean the room after which we moved in our luggage. in about 15 mins we spotted a mouse in the room and freaked out. inspite of making repeated calls to the reception noone turned up so i had to go myself and shout. every time the guy would serve anything he wud ask for a tip which was ridiculous. they dint even have bedsheets in the room forget towels. one time i asked them to get some drinking water and they told me there was no water in the hotel. apart from that there were a million lizards in the hotel which was so scary and yucky. The staff was extremely uncooperative and hostile. i could even move into another hotel coz i had paid in advance for 3 nighhts which was a big mistake.

There is only two good things in this hotel - location and cleanness of the room. There was no hot water in the room. The beds are so hard that i could not sleep! In my room there were lizard and ants. I asked to change the room, but the chief manager only laughed at my problem! The room is very small and there is no day light there. I felt very uncomfortably staying in this hotel.
