Given other reviews this was the only hotel I was concerned about on a three week trip of India. We arrived Christmas Eve, tired from our car journey and all agreed it was not so bad, reception had been decorated for christmas ans a reasonably warm welcome greeted us.

The room was of reasonable size for the three of us was better than expected, clean, although the traffic noise was intrusive at times, a large modern bathroom was a nice treated, it had good fittings but luke warm water for the two days.

A warm welcome in the dining room. I enjoyed the Indian Buffet both nights, my wife sampled fish on the second night and I stopped her seeing it was not cooked properly, unknown to us at the time two days of sickness and the runs on the would find my wife missing out on the delights of Jaipur.

It could happened anywhere but it happened here and it happened to us. The hall porter/house keeping guy was very attentive, always asking if we needed anything, thankful of the few rupee's we tipped him.

In summary I cannot really recommend this place based on our stay. I rate it average because it was better than expected and could improve, the food issue could occur anywhere.......

This is one of the worst hotel experiences I've had.
The staff of the hotel were just unbelievable - they were so rude and money-hungry my stay in Agra was severely tainted.
Also, the hot water and heating did not work.

I had the opportunity to stay at hotel Yamuna Vihar in the end of Oct 2011. Probably the only good thing about this hotel is its good location and proximity to the airport. The experience of any hotel commences at the check in. Unfortunately the staff looked unhappy and the vibes we got were not too good.
The rooms exuded a musty smell and so did the corridors. Bed linen appeared to be old and worn. The staff also was ill trained in hospitality. Decor and ambiance in the room was not of the required quality. Noise level was high mainly due to the constant chatter of the servicing staff moving in the corridors.
The room service was quick but the food was extremely spicy and oily despite my having asked them to use less of the same. Prices were definitely steep and to give an example, a bottle of mineral water was priced beyond 100 rupees.
Overall it was not a good experience. The hotel was more like a government rest house. Probably the tourist rush through the year ensures high occupancy and hence there is no effort to improve. Not recommended.

I stayed in this hotel during my visit to Agra in Oct 2010. As per the pictures given on the website, this hotel is almost opposite. Only the reception area is fine, but the rooms smell a lot. As we already paid in advance via "MakeMyTrip", we had to look for 2-3 rooms before identifying a better room. This is not a 3 or 4 star property, and the yamuna view is thing of the past. There is no Yamuna and no view from the hotel as lot of buildings have emerged along the hotel.
