As a luxury hotel, it is okay. There is a need to improve the property. The lawns are being worked upon and the gardens are strictly average. Barring these, the food is very nice, both oriental as well as Mughlai cuisine is great. However what stands out is their spa - that alone warrants a visit.

We did not stay at the hotel but in August 2011 we used the Spa and also the Taj Bano restaurant. The spa is one of the best we have ever experienced. The spa managers- davina and jyoti are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The treatments are full value for money and the ambiance of the spa is magical.

The food at the taj bano restaurant was excellent and the service prompt.

We had a show around of the rooms- most rooms have been recently refurbished and are in pristine condition.

The hotel is perfectly adequate but is not a 5 star property. With the exception of the lobby, the place is in need of refurbishment and the buffet breakfast (provided as part of my tour package) was very average. I would not chose to stay here again.

This place draws a loyal set year on year. Weekend jaunts from Delhi. First choice as a first thought. Ladies look fwd to the starred spa. Taj is visible from the terrace and we do avoid a visit everytime we visit. The restaurants are the buffet, Indian Afgani Tandoori fare and oriental kind which are very good.
The staff is courteous and take good care.
