“Avoid at all cost!”

This was the worst stay I ever had in a hotel!
After having read the feedback on TripAdvisor I decided to still give it a try as I was in a hurry. Big mistake! This hotel is dirty all over - not even worth reporting it - and the staff was terribly unfriendly. We were not provided with any sheets or towels at all. All that there was was an old rug, an absolutely horribly dirty bed (see picture). Luckily I had my silk sleepingbad - my friend was left with fleas and lice.
Avoid this place at all cost!!

“Overpriced and not worth your money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 February 2011

We stayed in this hotel for one night. Found the tariff on the higher side and the breakfast was not included even though I tried to convince the manager about it. One would find many hotels at cheaper rates with complimentary breakfast or non-alcoholic beverages. Incidentally, in one of the travel portals this hotel advertises its tariff rate that includes breakfast!!!!
Anyway, the staff was good and responsive. Room was in not a good shape, I could see plaster falling off from the walls and the mats were not clean!
Again with the kind of money the hotel is charging they ought to look at these areas very seriously. Wanted to get a quick hot shower at night but could not as there was no hot water in the taps!

“Good position, OK condition but noisy and overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2011

If you are offered a room directly over the kitchen turn it down as the staff made a racket all night to the extent that on the first night we thought there was some heavy maintance work going on outside the hotel! The room was spacious and clean with a sofa although very dark as the part window faced a brick wall. Location was pretty central with east gate was a 10-15 min walk away and an ATM right by the hotel. The breakfast was good and we ate dinner in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was average. Complementary internet access was available although only one computer so you had to wait. Overall it was more expensive than other hotels in Agra and other hotels we stayed in around India but showed nothing extra for the additional cost. Would recommend it but be careful which room you get.

“Run away!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2010

Go back, it’s a trap! If you are thinking about staying there, run away! If you have already booked, eat the cancellation fees and find something else. You will be glad you did. The hotel was bad news in every respect. We were booked for two nights but literally fled after one night. The room was filthy and disgusting. Everything in the bathroom was leaking (toilet, sink and shower) and the toilet had not been washed for god knows how long (I will refrain from describing it). There was fungus and other gunk on the bathroom walls and floors. The sheets on the bed were disgusting. We asked the staff to change the sheets three times before anything happened, and when they finally complied with our request, the “new” sheets were still disgusting. You didn’t even want to touch them. The throw rug at the foot of the bed looked like it had been dragged through an abattoir; we kept our shoes on. At dinner in the lobby restaurant, a young boy vomited under the table next to ours; the waiter came over, looked at the mess, and then strolled off. By the time we had had enough a half hour later, the puke was still there, slowing flowing in our direction. The staff was surly, and service was non-existent. This place is wildly overpriced for such a pathetic dump! Don’t even think about going in there!
