Trident Udaipur: A beautiful property, with a gr8 and welcoming Staff. From the moment you step inside the Hotel till you step out they will do anything and everything to bring a smile on your face and they wont be hogging you for tips, not even once.

i would specially like to put in a good word for the entire restaurant staff, the food was amazing but their hospitality made it a memorable dining experience.

The hotel lawns are beautifully maintained, has a good but small pool, a good bar, but the rooms are bit small for a 5 star and also fall short on amenities that you expect from a 5 star of this repute. for ex, for a room with two guests there was only one bathroom slipper, there was no morning kit and on asking for one we were given one tooth brush..... basic commonsense.... for two guests everything should be two( house keeping manager kindly take note).

Conclusion: for people traveling to udaipur, book this hotel, for the money you will be spending, you will never be disappointed.

We stayed in Trident Udaipur for two nights and we wish we could've stayed more. The hotel is a well kept traditional hotel. The staff is very friendly and not at all like the typical Indian hotel staff that keeps asking for tips.

The breakfast is simply GREAT, we didn´t try Indian food but un our second day, the chef asked us to please try an Indian breakfast that he will prepare specially for us (without any aditional charge), even though we have already finish our breakfast, my husband and I decided to give it a try and it was simply delicious.

In general, the hotel is a great place to rest, morning Yoga is available, great service and gread gardens and pool.

Stayed here on my first honeymoon for 4 nights, 5 days. Hotel area is huge with a lot of place to take a walk and relax. Make sure there are no wedding happening when your staying here, else the hotel reception and ambiance is a mess with a lot of people and noise. Though service was good the room amenities fell short for a 5 star standard.

Pros :
- the palace look and feel with lights and polished marble flooring everywhere was awesome.
- restaurant staff was very friendly. They remember names of their guests and are very prompt at service.
- the hotel offered a cake in the room and a complimentary pool side private dinner when they came to know that we are just married (during check in). That was very nice of the hotel.
- they have a private jetty that can take you on the popular pichola lake for a private ride, of course for a fee.
- hotel staff was very kind enough to provide services such as first aid kit, baggage weight check and so on.


Cons :

- The deluxe room had a very tiny bath room with glass doors for the bath tub making it even more congested. We hurt ourselves several times due this.
- the toiletry did not include shaving and dental kits which is usually offered even by some 4 and 3 star hotels.
- there were no bath robes in the room. Again a matter of shame for a hotel of this standard.
- the hotel was peaceful when we checked in.On the day before we left, a wedding group checked in and it was noisy all over. Outside noise is very clearly heard in the room and vice versa...rooms need more sound proofing. We were told that it was the 6th wedding in the last 2 weeks . We thought we were lucky to have 3 peaceful nights before the place got noisy .

We could not be happier for picking this hotel amongst the choice available to us. Trident lives upto the excellent well earned reputation. Excellent service at a very affordable price.
