It had been one of my most memorable trip. One hour trip from udaipur and their it was.The place is in the middle of nowhere and for a group of friends it was just perfect. A different kind of vacation compared to the routined stay at a lavish place in the middle of a crowded city. The sign at the entrance 'Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' truly described the essence of the place. Spacious room and outstanding chef and a bonfire at night on the terrace really made this a true exotic vacation. In the morning did horse riding on true breed horses which had a history with the owner of the hotel. A true 'MANOHAR' experience as they say in rajasthani.

We stopped here for a night on the way to Udaipur. Actually wish I''d skip Udiapur and just stayed here. The building is amazing. When I first saw the sign at the entrance, 'Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' I was so curious. And then the manager showed us the movie trailer - fantastic!
The management is newish. They really try hard. They make the best of the building terraces and the views. They make the dining aspect of your stay very special both at night with candle-lit meals and breakfast. This is not a chain hotel and is a work in progress. The rooms are very good but knowing that the building is several hundreds of years old I know it is only a matter of time before it is absolutely perfect. We visited in December and no problems getting extra duvets for a snuggly warm night's sleep.
We were able to see the owner's prized Mewari horses and walk the countryside.

The stay at Ravla Khempur is one of the best experiences I've ever had! My hubby and I stayed here for a night during our trip to Rajasthan. Wished we could stay more!

The place is a good hour's drive from Udaipur. On the way there, we were wondering if we made a mistake. But how wrong we were! The place is in the middle of nowhere - perfect! The surroundings are quiet and peaceful. Nitin and Mohan are so warm and make you feel at home immediately. We reached there at around 8, and were welcomed with a lovely iced tea, followed by, hold your breath, a private fireworks show and a candlelight dinner on the terrace!!! Every single light in the place was put off, and the terrace was decorated with lanterns. And we had lovely, beautiful music playing in the background! The dinner below the clear, starry night sky was an amazing experience, and had me giggling like a smitten 16-year old :D and oh, the food was brilliant, and I mean BRILLIANT! The fact that this happened a day after our wedding anniversary (which Nitin had no idea about) just made it so much more special.

Needless to say, we were overjoyed at our stay there. The locale is beautiful and rustic. The haveli is an absolutely charming place. The rooms are simple but very comfortable and pretty. It's not a 5-star stay, but you won't get this unique, out-of-this-world experience in a 5-star hotel. And oh, you must check out the beautiful horses too!

I strongly recommend this place for anyone looking for a wonderfully different experience. If I could, I'd rate the place 10 on 5 :)

Being at Ravla Khempur is all lovable and enduring experience. The horse safari was amazing, and that camping at lakeside where the birds can be seen submerged with nature.
One must not miss that............
