This resort is probably the closest to the park gates as we were the last people picked up and the first dropped off for each Tiger safari. It is set back from the road and surrounded by fields. It is away from the bustle of the local town so it was very quiet. The grounds are reasonably large and when not on safari we enjoyed relaxing and watching birds. We were also entertained by a family with children as they were playing cricket on the lawn.
Our room was in a duplex style building and it was dated but comfortable. It was chilly but the staff put a small portable heater in the room. Meals were simple but quite good. In India most places seem to have a breakfast dish made from pounded rice and we liked it very much.
The staff were very helpful and always quick to follow up on questions. The morning safaris were chilly and damp and they made sure we had blankets to stay warm. We went on three safaris and didn't see any tigers but we enjoyed seeing all the other wildlife.
