“It is ' the place to stay'”

Lots can be said about Ranthambhore Bagh and the Ranthambhore National Park and it will not be enough. It was truly a memorable experience for me , my first trip to Ranthambhore could have not been planned better. I saw tigers on 4 safaris out of the 6 I went on.
I went there in October and had the most awesome time , yet.
If you are planning to go to Ranthambhore National Park , Ranthambhore Bagh is quite easliy the place to stay.
As lucky as I was to spot tigers , I was lucky to meet Aditya and Poonam Singh, the owners and hosts of Rantrahmbhore Bagh, Aditya & Poonnam - You guys rock , way to go!!!

Room Tip: Stay in the the tents for really outdoors experience. These are self sufficient tents with clean bat...

“Didn't see any Tigers but it's still a great place to stay!”

We opted to stay in a tent and we loved it, especially when the sun was streaming down and we could sit on our terrace.

We ate our dinners around campfires with other guests and we enjoyed the entertainment. It was a really nice way of meeting other guests.

The food was very tasty, with a lot of variety.

Stay in a tent if you can!

“More of a hostel than a hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

When we arrived at Ranthambore we were disappointed to discover the 'luxury' tents were metres from the main road and had no security whatsover. We were able to transfer to a room in the main hotel but were equally disappointed at the standard. The weather in Jan is very cold and our window did not close properly meaning the room was constantly cold with only a 1 bar heater to warm us up. There were no amenities in the room beyond the basics, we would have atleast expected hand towels and maybe a bottle of water when there is no shop nearby and you can't drink the tap water.
The restaurant was outside and it was ridiculous eating our dinner in the very cold temperature. There was a buffet evening meal and if you didn't want this (which was really overpriced compared to other hotels we'd been in) there was a very limited choice of snacks.
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful when we wanted to move rooms. In no way is this reflection on them. I have to say that there was a good, friendly atmosphere amongst the guests and staff but this did not overcome the fact that we were cold the majority of the stay.
This could be a nice hotel but it needs a lot of updating and we got a lot less for our money than we did at other hotels in India.

“No other Hotel can beat Bagh in Value and Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

We stayed here for 3 nights in their tent, tent they provide is split into 3 parts, varendah - outdoor sitting area with mosquito nets, the main tent living area which has basic furniture but very comfortable bed which you need after a bumpy safari and a long day full of adventure, the rear part of tent has shower area and toilet. One thing I would like to mention here is hot water is instant here and you can have nice long shower, believe me in this part of Rajasthan this is a big plus point. We reached there at 7 Am and they provided us room early and while waiting for the room staff offered us masala tea, coffee , cookies etc.
Breakfast at this property was really good, from cereals, dry fruits, fresh fruits, white & Brown breads, 2 Indian varieties , baked beans, eggs on order ....believe me it was awesome every day...
Now the main point is a suggestion to the property, they have excellent staff... Ram Singh being one of them, we had dinner at Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace last night but Taj staff can't even touch the level of service of this person, in Ranthambhor we had dinner twice in Taj, just to feel different ambience and variety of food, last day we decided to have dinner at Bagh only bcos of Ram Singh and we had good time there,
We booked our safari online, Bagh did all the paperwork for us and arranged pick up from there...out of 3 safaris we saw tiger in the first one but we really enjoyed all three safaris, we saw lots of other animals....
We had awesome time at Bagh and we will come back for sure...only at the tent though...
Go there for Value and Service.

“dangerous for children”

We stayed here toward the end of a 2 week holiday in India in December 2011.There is an electric current transformer in the car park which takes in the main grid supply. We were not advised of its existence and the dangers. Our friends' 13 yr. old son was electrocuted by standing next to it whilst playing hide and seek. None of the kids appreciated how dangerous it was and none of the parents (lots of families staying) knew it was there as it is obscured by parked vehicles. My 8 year old daughter just escaped the same fate. Miraculously, the boy lived but suffered serious burns and fracture injuries and was flown to hospital in New Delhi. They put a small barbed wire fence around it after the incident, but the danger remains. Other problems include a large open drop on the first floor of the main building with only a small wall and a curtain around it - so easy for a small child to fall down. Other facilities were primitive and the electrics in rooms appeared very old - even by Indian standards.

Room Tip: don't go there!
