“It's 2012!”

Great trip back to Angel Fire in over 30 years. Didn't look like much had changed. The Lodge is more appropriate in lieu of The Resort. Easy access to the mountain. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Legends Bar & Grill have great wait staff and bartenders along with good food. The Coffee house is great for breakfast. Little known fact - the do NOT show a menu but they have a lot of food. ASK what they serve (they need a menu) but the mochas are perfect. DO NOT stay in the cheaper of the two rooms. For the extra $$, your room is 25 years newer, better Heating system and smells better than the cheaper rooms. There are plenty of places to stay in Angel Fire, but this place makes it easy to sleep, eat, ski and enjoy the hot tub or a drink before skiing again!

Welcome back to Angel Fire! We appreciate your kind works for our staff, especially in the Restaurants & Lounge. It is feedback like yours that keeps us striving to become ever better. Please remember, we are in the process of renovating/remodeling the rest of the Lodge this summer, so ALL our guestrooms will soon be “25 year newer”. As we continue to update and improve the Resort facilities, we hope you come back sooner than another 30 years!

“DON'T PUT YOUR KIDS IN THE SKI SCHOOL”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

If you have kids with ADD or ADHD; PLEASE do not put them in the ski school. You will be exposed to a serious aggravation; these people say they know how to manage kids, but they have no clue on how to do that.

The teachers are not bad; the problem is the Management of the School those 2 guys are really bad news. Seriously, do not expose your kids and your Family to major aggravations.

I’m sorry you were disappointed with the quality of instruction we were able to provide to your children during their recent visit. Our first priority is always the safety and enjoyment of all our students, no matter their age or disability. I have spoken with the Ski School staff regarding the challenges your children faced, and we are certain that should you choose to enroll them with us again, we will be able to provide the special accommodations they require.
I am pleased that you were comfortable in your guestroom, and that the Lodge staff provided you and your family with exemplary customer service. We hope to see you again next season.

“Terrible customer service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

I was greeted by the most unfriendly staff at angel fire resort. I feel like I should apologize to the front desk for handing over my money and apologize for staying at their resort. How dare I ask to check in early. How absurd of me to ask to get my room cleaned and offer to pay more to check in early. It made me wonder if the front desk lady was related to the ski school cashier because they were both the rudest women I have come across in a long time. Between the eye rolls and the condescending tone of voice I am surely disappointed. What a waste of money. I will never stay here again and I will be sure to warn others as well.

As I’m sure you were made aware, our guaranteed check-in time is 4:00pm. Of course, we are always happy to accommodate early check-in whenever possible – unfortunately, it is not always possible, especially on a very busy “Perfect Powder” ski weekend and without advance notice. I’m sorry you feel we did not provide you with the excellent customer service we strive for with all our guests, and thank you for the input that allows us to continually improve.

January 15-16...Angel Fire Resort exceeded our expectations. The hotel check in was fast, easy, and the desk people were incredibly friendly. Our room was fabulous! We asked for directions back to our state due to the amount of snow this weekend. They were amazingly helpful. Short lift lines. Friendly workers at the lifts. We ate several times in the Legends Grill. The waiters and waitresses were friendly, efficient, and checked with us frequently to see if we needed anything. We've been to Lake Tahoe, Bridger Montana, Keystone, Red River, Telluride. Angel Fire was absolutely at the top! We will definitely return!!!

Room Tip: Rooms were spacious!!!!! Lots off storage space! Washer and dryer close to our room. Wonderful for p...

Our guaranteed check-in time is 4:00pm. I am sorry you waited so long for your specially-requested “Pet-friendly” accommodations. We always fill special requests first, and were happy to meet your needs – unfortunately, there are only a few such designated pet rooms available, and yours was cleaned in as timely a manner as possible to provide you early access prior to 4:00pm.
I am pleased that you and your dog were comfortable in our newly-redecorated lobby and that he enjoyed our new leather couches while waiting. As a frequent guest of the Lodge, I am certain you appreciate our on-going efforts to provide sparkling, well-maintained guestrooms and quality customer service to all our guests. Should you have the opportunity to stay with us again, I am confident you and your pet will be happy and comfortable.
