I really enjoyed my stay at Durag Niwas. It's a very relaxing atmosphere, very colorful with lots of comfortable sitting space. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they were the only place that gave me a map with recommendations on where to visit for the best deals and value. The food is great too, and in general it was a great and relaxing place to stay. Very comfortable.

As a solo traveller I selected where I was staying based on the reviews of others- I wanted places with a good vibe and the opportunity to meet people. I did not find either of these at Dura Niwags. It was clean, and nicely presented, very colourful and the staff were helpful- but nothing more. There was none of the no holds bars hospitality others seem to have encountered.. I might have caught them on a off day but I was unimpressed by my hosts, especially in comparison to the high levels of hospitality I encountered throughout the rest of India. It was okay but if I go back I would try somewhere else rather than return.

A really warm and nice family runs this place.
Just feel like at home. We arrived late at night but they took the time to show us every room and to cook us a comforting dinner after a hard day of travel.
Rooms are big, clean and quiet. The guest house is really spacious with differents spots where you can eat, juste have a glass of chai, or read, or whatever...
It was off season so they had the time to talk with us and to help us on our next travel,
even to introduce us the association they've created which helps indian women.

One of the best guest houses I have been to in terms of service and value for money. My husband and I arrived at Durag Niwas at 9 p.m. and despite having no reservations, we were immediately accommodated and ushered into our rooms in less than 10 minutes upon our arrival.
