“Perfect host. Excellent property”

Just returned from Jaisalmer last night after a nights stay at hotel Victoria. I had booked this property based on fellow travellers reviews. No regrets at all with the decision. My daughter and myself just enjoyed every minute we spend at this homely property. It is a renovated ancient Haveli within the fort. Very tastefully decorated with local art and culture. The room was just perfect for us. We stayed in room 1, which had a great view. The man who just made our trip even so much memorable was Susheel. He ensured we had a perfect home stay experience. The hot Masala chai, the traditional Veg thali for dinner and a hot Indian breakfast at the rooftop is highly recommended.
I have stayed in many a hotels but this was the only place where Susheel walked up to us during our departure and handed over a pack of Sandwich for our onward train journey to Jodhpur. For me that is hospitality. I bet you don't get that in the best of hotels in today's world " personal touch". I have decided if Jaisalmer it's only hotel Victoria.

Room Tip: Do ask for the top floor rooms. Room no 1 was what I had opted, and no regrets. Great view. Do ensur...

“Our FAVORITE place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

My husband and I had one our best experiences in India at Hotel Victoria. Sushil was the perfect host. He was gracious and so kind and made our stay there very memorable. We were surprised and pleased because it was just the best find.... we had been booked at a near by hotel that was overbooked when we showed up! The meals were delicious (included in the room fare) and the roof top dining superb. Our room was lovely. We strongly recommend Hotel Victoria, you will be just as delighted as we were!! Enjoy! Room Tip: We stayed in the delux room that has a balcony alcove- romantic!

“Pleasant stay”

We had moved to Hotel Victoria last minute after checking into our original hotel that was too far from the fort. I'd recommend staying within the fort rather than outside in the city. Pankaj was very helpful with our last minute move and made us feel at home. Great thing is breakfast and dinner (and taxes) are all included in the room rate. We opted for a smaller double bed room for 2000 INR on the main floor. It was comfortable and has hot water all day. Roof is great for relaxing and kite flying. Nice haveli and very reasonable prices. There is also free wifi.

“Home sweet home”

Although being far away from home, we felt like at home. Throughout our journey we have stayed at very good and as well expensive hotels, but none of them was so personal then Hotel Victoria.

The location is just great (rooftop terrace, honeymoon room with balcony), the breakfast (especially the banana pancakes and Chai Tea) very delicious and we even have received a yummy free lunch bag for our trip from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur.

Pankaj (manager), Sushil (owner) and the rest of team really ensure that your stay is just perfect. We would always return to Hotel Viktoria.

Room Tip: The honeymoon room has a little balcony, from which one you can see the sunset over the desert. We h...

We started from Delhi at 7:30 in the morning and were in our rooms by 7:30 in the evening.
As we entered the hotel and got our rooms we went to the roof of the hotel. The view was amazing and you get to see the whole city outside the fort.Food is great and the rooms are different from each other. We had two rooms one of them was excellent and the other was not as good. one of them was comfortable and well decorated while the other was too small. Overall it was a very good experience.

Room Tip: Don't take the rooms on the ground floor as they are too small and bathrooms are not as good as...
