This is a wonderful little budget hotel in a lovely building overlooking a bustling square which starts to waken up before sunrise. The thoughtfulness of the staff even extended to providing ear plugs to help cut out the noise but, in truth, it was far less noisy than many of the other hotels we stayed in during our tour of Rajasthan! We were given a choice of room and although not big, it was adequate. The bathroom tiles would definitely have benefitted from a really good scrub but everywhere else, including the cafe (and the kitchen which my husband checked after a bad experience elsewhere in Rajasthan), was spotless. The cafe was great - a really comfortable place to sit and read in the late afternoon after the hustle of the Fort area. The location was perfect for us - the 15 minute walk from the Fort gave a chance to see something of how people really live away from the main tourist areas. We stayed in 12 hotels during our month long tour of Rajasthan including a couple of very luxurious ones, and the staff at KB Lodge were the most helpful we found anywhere. Someone was always there when needed, but they were never intrusive. When we arrived the water for a shower was already switched on and hot - what more could anyone want?

...a city with no shortage of hotels, but a distinct shortage of good ones. With a lot of passing trade, many establishments are more focused on getting the traffic through their rooms (and camel tours) than on looking after their guests once they've got them. KB lodge was a very welcome exception. Family run, enthusiastic and helpful, with an attention to detail often lacking elsewhere.

Located bang opposite Patwa Haveli in Jaisalmer, its walkable distance from virtually all the notable points in the city. The staff was exceptionally friendly and co-operative.The restaurant isnt great, but can cobble up a reasonable meal

I stayed in K.B. Lodge for two nights in November 2010. The room was small but nicely furnished, clean, with a small but functional bathroom. All facilities (air conditioning, hot water, ...) worked well.

The place has a very pleasant rooftop cafe with nice views of the fortress and the nearby haveli. They also serve simple, but tasty veg thali. The staff was helpful and made me feel being welcome form the first moment. Above all I would like to mention Kailas who is very courteous and sympathic man who served complementary tee whenever I showed up.

The place offers free pick-up service from bus and railway station. I was picked-up on time although the train had a delay of approx. one hour.

As a conclusion I can definitely recommend the place and I would stay there again if I came to Jaisalmer once more.
