Me and my friends had a lovely stay at Hotel Fifu during 26 to 28 January'12. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Om, the owner, and proceeded to the lovely rooftop cafe where we could see a stunning view of the fort. It is lit up at night and it is great to see it from this vantage point. We enjoyed the Masala Chai and coffee provided by the restaurant. Our room was tastefully decorated in Jaisalmer style. The romms were spotless.Because the building is constructed from sandstone, the room stays warm even if it is cool outside. We were given one of their best room. The staff were polite and curteous. I also loved that this hotel offered a peaceful respite from the busy fort, which is only a short walk or tuk-tuk ride away.
For anyone considering a chip to Jaisalmer, I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a bit overdue (so apologies) . We stayed at Hotel Fifu over Christmas for 4 nights (23rd-26th of december) -- we could not have been happier with our stay-- the staff makes this hotel SO special-- they truly want to make your stay the best that it can be-- and go the extra step. For example, my daughter's birthday was on christmas day and they bought her a cake-- really. a cake! she (and her brother) were thrilled (as were we) ! Our rome are cozy and lovely with a small terrace/balcony and thought it was cold while we were there, the in room heaters kept us warm.
The view of the fort from the roof is wonderful, the restaurant was always ready with great food -
I know it is controversial about staying in or out of the fort-- but i would certainly opt for out, it is more 'low impact' and the views up to the fort are really something.
by the end of our stay i was really not ready to leave either the hotel or lovely Jaisalmer. I really hope we get to visit again

My boyfriend and I stayed here a while ago and we had a lovely time. The room was spotless, nicely decorated, and the owner (Fifu) was really welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop terrace which has a fantastic view of Jaisalmer Fort (wait until you see it all lit up at night!). Another advantage of this place is that it's located in a quiet area but still only a short walk to Jailsalmer fort. If you know how noisy Indian towns can be at night, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about ;)

This is one of the best boutique hotels in Jaisalmer. The location is a bit problem area but the hotel itself, the rooms, the restaurant view covers that part and I guarantee that once you have seen the hotel you you will not notice any problem. The USP of the hotel is the hospitality shown by the owners (Thanks to Mr. Omprakash and Antariksha). In a way the location is actually better because you are out of the actual Jaisalamer hustle and bustle but still within walking limits to the Fort and main market.

The hotel is built in the style of Jaisalmer houses which are small. It is a ten year old hotel but you will not believe that once you have seen it. Rooms are a bit small but very neat and clean. Each room is well decorated in typical Rajasthani style and vivid colours.

The best part of the hotel is probably the roof top restaurant and the view of the fort from there. It is just awesome and very relaxing. The food menu is limited but what ever you order it is always nicely done and tastes good. One can spent the whole day sitting there sipping drinks and reading a book.

Mr. Omprakash and Antariksha takes personal interest and care in every aspect of your stay and if you have any concerns those are taken care immediately. Everybody in my family liked the hotel very much and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jaisalmer.
