Great hotel staff extreamly helpful good choice of food highly recommended

We stayed in Rang Mahal for 2 Nights in February 2012. Once we entered the hotel, we were greeted by the magnificent fort-like facade of Rang Mahal hotel. It was like stepping inside an ancient fort in immaculate conditions. We were surprised by the vast expanse of the hotel property. We stayed in the Left Wing of Rang Mahal. The room was huge and elegantly furnished in real teak wood furniture and soothing green upholstery. The bathroom was one of the fanciest we had every seen in any hotel and we have been to a lot of hotels all over the world. You wouldn't expect to see a television in most bathrooms of the fanciest of hotels. The dinner buffet had excellent choices and was of great value for its price. The waiters were attentive and courteous. The cleanliness of the hotel was beyond reproach - we saw the staff cleaning the property all the time. It was also located close to the fort and other main attractions of Jaisalmer. The only thing which I felt was lacking was the comfort-level of the bed. It could have been a little softer and plushier. We were very happy with the hotel and would love to go again.

I personally advise never ever to stay in the Rang Mahal, Jaisalmer as this could just goof up your entire trip. The hotel gives you no freedom to enjoy, even the hotel staff is untrained and have absolutely no sense to talk to the customers.There is a restriction to every thing in the hotel. Rang Mahal, Jaisalmer seriously sucks....!!!!
If you are planning to come to Jaisalmer, Fort Rajwada would be the best place to be in.

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel. From the greeting, the offer of a spa treatment after a long journey, to the comfortable room, superb outside dining experience, and sparkling pool it was a treat!
